Nothing beats the authenticity of their products. Their pastrami is aged 30 days &what a remarkable sandwich it makes! It’s the best I have ever had so far...”Katz’s and that’s all!”
Enormous amounts of meat between two small slices of bread. Doesn't look fancy, but the turkey sandwich is delicious and can feed two people if you aren't very hungry.
Yes, The pastrami is amazing, we know this (Ruben = yum) but if the line is long, you're hungry, and you got about $3.50 to spend... get a Frank! They'll give you lots of juicy sauerkraut!
Dolling our the best pastrami and rye since 1888. Brave the long times and temperamental service to experience this one-of-a-kind New York classic. 5/5
Definitely a must go to place in NYC. The classic pastrami on rye bread was amazing. Although, you definitely need to split a sandwich with at least another person. It's huge!
You don't get as much pastrami here as you do at Carnegie Deli, but quality over quantity is the name of the game here. Amazing cuts of pastrami. The matzo ball soup is delicious too.
Act like you know what your doing. Tip the man who gives you a free sample of meat. No fries. Yes to the Matzoh Ball Soup. Harry met Sally here! @nicolerovig
fourth generation owner stopped by our table to checkin with us. very nice man and it was nice to hear the story of the family run business. very glad we stopped in. Tip keep your ticket!
Katz's has been curing and hand-carving its own pastrami (ask for moist) since 1888 when it was often the first stop for Eastern European immigrants. The pastrami-on-rye is unbelievably filling.
Want to taste history? Established in 1888, Katz’s has been serving up pastrami, corned beef, and knockwurst sandwiches longer than any deli in NYC. Sun-Wed: 8am-10:45pm | Thur-Sat: 8am-2:45am
Delicious pastrami sandwich, as good as everyone says! 2 beers & 2 pastrami sandwiches cost approx 53$ ... Please renovate and clean those restrooms, perhaps train or cheer up the personnel too...
Pastrami and corned beef are some of the best you’ll ever behold. Stand at the counter while the man behind it hand-slices your pastrami, and offers you a taste.
The pastrami is much better than the corned beef, and I’m normally a corned beef guy. Try the latkes too. Overall, the environment sucks, the prices are outrageous, and none of the staff is friendly.
Get in line and get your pastrami sandwich. A must stop in New York and ask how the business model works...or doesn't work. A big tourist stop too so don't be in a hurry.
Best pastrami sandwich I have eaten that's for sure. Don't think you can have anything else as a side because even an elephant would have difficulty doing so.
Hasn't changed in forever, other than the prices. Pastrami is always on point, although the rye wasn't as solid or salty as it should be. Always love the coleslaw here
The interior design is genuine and the food is excellent but too much. Share a pastrami with a friend and enjoy the cheese cake you'll be full enough !
Founded in 1888, this iconic deli is famous for its pastrami and hot dogs. Katz's is a staple of popular culture and is prominently featured in the romanticcomedy "When Harry Met Sally." Read more
Get pastrami or corned beef on rye. I found the cheese and extras on the Reuben excessive. Meat is piled high. Could be a light-medium meal for two or a large meal for one very hungry person.
Katz's Deli is a NY institution and has been featured on a record 6 different shows featured on TVFoodMaps including Best Thing I Ever Ate, Food Wars, Man v. Food, No Reservations, Food Paradise.
If you wanna kick it up a notch, skip the basic pastrami vs corned beef debate. JUST ORDER THE REUBEN. Marvel at your carver makes it. Devour with Dr Brown Cream soda. Heavenly.
You HAVE to go here. Pastrami sandwich, mustard. That's it. Bring cash ($15/sandwich) and split a sandwich if you're not starving. It's amazing. AMAZING. And ppl love the Harry Met Sally thing.
