DO come for ICE plan to relax on the holidays or come early in the season or right after. The hotel is beautiful at night. To save money stay at a hotel nearby.
If you decide to take the Metro from DC to here plan on it being about an hour trip one way. Nice rooms, overpriced restaurants though. Mostly for conventioners

After using part of the toiletries, rather than replacing them, housekeeping put them nicely back into their presentation spots. Also walk around your floor completely to find the closest elevator.
Wear comfyshoes. The place is huge. Also now have Starbucks kiosks and No real Starbucks. Expensive and few restaurants in the hotel. Go out for great deals. Really in the middle of nowhere.
The food and facilities are great. Loved the room decor. However, I did not have heat in my room or hot water in the bathroom sinks on October 21-23. The hotel did not solve the issue.
It is expensive, but you have everything you need right in the area. It is pricey for restaurants and drinks though. The hotel also does not accept frequent travel points, so keep this in mind.
They overbooked for our conference and people who'd had reservations for months were turned away: very unprofessional. Food overpriced by up to 400% & a colleague found a roach in his lunch. Just, no.
No housekeeping issues for me, room was clean, air flowed properly, bed was comfy. Do look for the nearest elevator to your room or else be prepared to walk! Well, be prepared to walk anyways. Huge.
While the hotel is comfortable and lively, there are a few things lacking. For instance, the workout facility is minuscule compared to the hotel. I don't get it.
Finally, I complained very early on the morning of October 23 and threatened to write a bad review on social media sites. The staff person then asked if we wanted to move to another room.
