The WiFi is unstable. Immigration can get really long and the staff will not listen if you are running late. Not keeping up with changing times!

TOP experience.- Terminal renovations well underway and security check seems to be faster with new machines etc.

If you are planning to visit Dubai, despite no visa because of a connecting flight, you can get one for 150 dollars, that'll allow you to get out of the airport. Cheers.
Massive airport, can take some time for checkin and transfering terminals.

The Airport has everything that you need but all my experiences with people has been terrible. Everyone is very mean and not very helpful.
Duty-free, Wireless internet, Smoking room, 3 terminals, HUGE Airport and flights to every location on the planet earth.
Terminal 1 will kill you. Try to find a flight which lands in Terminal 2 or 3
