Head up to the Wings Bar in the airport hotel in terminal 1 for a quiet drink and a snack.
Consider buying some chocolates at the duty free shops. It's cheap!
You never get bored here even if your connecting flight is hours away or delayed. 1 of the niciest airports.

Aimee AstilleroMay 3, 2016Great airport & super organized! If you have a long layover, try to go outside to see the city or go to the Dubai mall (take a cab for $10). Look for the arrivals area and going through immigration.

With normal traffic in airport it takes 1 hour from " city center " till " after passport controls "
