Truly rusticItalian food from a 2011 James Beard awarded chef, this place has my heart. Like Delfina, Cotogna makes delicious simple pastas and pizzas.
Must try the Farm eggraviolo with brown butter, ricotta cheese on crostini with honey from the beehives on their rooftop, the smoked salmon pizza, the flank steak and the donuts. Excellent!
The filled pasta I had was unusual and incredibly tasty. But there was so little of it, it was gone in a breath. Incredible flavour. Poor value. But: I didn't feel stuffed or over-full either.
You really can't go wrong with this menu but if you do, the arborio rice pudding with pistachio and dried cherry will save the day at the end. Amazing. Come here.
