The kitchen doesn't open until 8am on weekdays, so don't say I didn't warn you that you can't order the thick cut Acme toast until then.

Go to Blue Bottle at least three time. First get a simple espresso, second get a coffee from the Japan imported $20,000 vacuum coffee machine, third get the Kyoto style ice coffee.
If you're trying a siphon pot for the first time, be sure to sit in front of the siphon to watch them brew it.

Genki U.April 1, 2015Food is simple to the point of wondering why you're lining up for it. Coffee is okay, but, again, why the queue?- Order any coffee here and you will never be disappointed.
The siphon coffee is fun and tasty, but honestly it's only a hair better than the less expensive drip coffee, which itself is amazing.
Dave SJune 12, 2010The best iced coffee I've ever had. The Kyoto is strong and syrupy. The NOLA is sweeter. Neither need sugar.
If they're out of ice, just buy prepackaged New Orleans.
