- Come early for departures outside the EU, especially if you're not an EU passport holder. You go through border control first and then security at the gate for most flights. Can be very slow.

- Diana ValdezAugust 11, 2011There's a nice smoking area inside the airport in case you are going just as transit. If you got more hours, there's a museum inside too¡ Staff is very, very nice.

- Parissa AzarvandJuly 6, 2011The free wifi sucks. If you have the time head over to the KLM lounge free wifi. You have to be business class to enter but you can still chill outside and pick up the signal. Password> KLMddmmyy
- If the weather is nice, go spend some time outside on the Airport Park Terrace at the entrance to gates D 59-87 on the second floor. Open from 07:00 to 20:00.

- If you have to get a boarding pass for joint KLM/Aeroflot flight: don't go to T5 (Aeroflot), they're useless. Can't even look a flight up by number! T4 are much better (KLM). Self check-in also works

- Such a big airport. Takes an hour to walk from one side to another. Plus, a high chance of getting lost because of all these shops that recur a few times.
