Foursquare special was breakfast. Finally received it on my last day (after breakfast) it only took 4 front desk visits, a calls to management, and receiving confirmation calls to room and cell.

It's a great hotel. The funny part is trying to get in through the front door air lock system. I swear that area has it's own weather system and a gale-force wind is blowing!
You can’t beat this location for midtown Manhattan, but the building is in desperate need of renovations, no matter how much they want to play the Art Deco card.
And we have a winner! This week's Macy's Gift Card winner is Christine C! Congratulations! Visit the front desk and ask for Nicole to claim your prize.
This place is not 4 stars. I am pretty sure four stars would include daily housekeeping (replacement of toiletries), a coffee machine or coffee and a newspaper- at the very least. most 3 stars have...
:( No winner for today's Starbucks Gift card Newbie Special. Better luck next week. Remember, drawing is every Wednesday from 2 - 4. Must be present to win.
Be for-warned, the rooms can be tiny! But seriously, if you are in New York City, how much time are you going to spend in your room? Just be prepared :)

Don't eat breakfast in the dinner at the bottom. It is not great and over priced. Go up 8 th and to cosmos. Cheap an cheerful or Brooklyn diner (upscale) for your breakfast. You won't regret it.
small rooms, small towels but wonderful location. Showers could be cold in the evening and the air conditioning in the hall is freezing. Rooms with a view are worth the stay.

The 'queen' size beds are more like full beds with delusions of grandeur. Lovely vintage tiles and tub in the bathroom. Large closet compared to room. The lobby harkens to a decidedly more gilded era.
Great view if you get a balcony room. We can stand outside and see the empire, and Chrysler building. Other than that not to pretty in the rooms. Needs remodeling.
Not a bad place to stay. Location is pretty hard to beat. Nice rooms, bigger than what I'm used to in NY (although that doesn't say much). Bar's good downstairs :)
Was on the 25th floor and had a terrible room, little view with workers hammering the entire time. With much persistence, I got moved to the 33rd floor- beautiful view. Room is okay but not 4 stars.
Shot scenes for the movie "Day Zero" here and drove by repeatedly in an ambulance for them... suite they had at the top was really nice, glad i got to go
