- Lots of great food options in this airport. All the Pappas Restaurants have a presence and all are fantastic just depends if you are in the mood for Mexican, Seafood, or Burgers. Barry's for pizza.Upvoted 6 days ago
- Love this little airport! Clean & efficient. Upset to hear they are going international...I hope they will be able to maintain the comfortable environment.Upvoted 1 day ago
- MitchDecember 30, 2017One of my favorite airports! Southwest hub serving Houston. Security lines may be long but move very fast.Upvoted 1 week ago
- Cheryl ThompsonFebruary 22, 2019Smaller airports are great. TSA folks are nice, and there are constant pages over the intercom to advise people of their lost items. It’s almost like they CARE here.
- I miss the days when Southwest had their three level security lines: Fast Track, Expert Traveler and Family/Need Extra Time. That was the most efficient TSA process ever!!!
- John CarnessiotisApril 28, 2013Small Airports are the best... period! Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen offers free wi fi and Southwest proved to be excellent and on time!
- David PessahMarch 16, 2014For the travelers from cities that can drink all day every Sunday: One must have food on the table before a drink can be ordered from 1030a-12p. 12p on is fair game...Or our waiter was a big liar
- Go to the cell phone lot while you wait for your friends to arrive and enjoy the views of planes landing. Very close to the terminal, so you avoid the traffic at arrivals.
- Enn EssFebruary 3, 2019Small airport with only one terminal. Went through security with ease. Plenty of shops. Ample seating with outlets for charging devices.
- I like this airport, nice and easy. Just make sure you collect your money from those who owe you before leaving town.
- Susan RussoMarch 5, 2013Pappadeaux is a fun spot for a bite to eat offering classic New Orleans dishes like fried alligator, dirty rice, shrimp étouffée, and oysters. Sad beers on tap though, so be warned.
- A nicely renovated smaller airport with lots of direct flights on Southwest. No airport lounges as of 2019, but security is fast, so there’s usually no need to hang out at the airport for a long time.Upvoted Oct 17
- For convenience try parking in the brand new parking garage($20/day) at Hobby Airport. It is located on the left as soon as you get your parking ticket from the machine. Going to the terminal is easy.
- Jason PelishDecember 29, 2011If you're hungry go to the Asian Food place in the Food Court before the A Gates. The Szechuan Noodles are awesome - especially with the Phoenix Chicken. Really tasty hunan sauce on them - yum!
- KodyNovember 9, 2014Get a shoeshine! Awesome stories and great for a laugh and to say you've done it!
- Cute little airport and easy to navigate. Pappa’s Burgers are delicious! But the restrooms aren’t ever clean 😩
- Love, love this airport, so easy to get in and get out of the city, when needed!!
- When picking up passengers with checked luggage, park red garage level 3 or 4, take the elevator to one and meet them. 10 minutes of parking is $1.00. 11 minutes to 60 minutes is $5.00.
- Here's a tip for the normal person, please stay out of the commercial lane... we are working and you are in our way. Thank you. 😉
- Cassandra FaustNovember 17, 2016Pappadeaux is new here and was a nice Houston touch to the airport! Also love the changes to the shopping at the airport as well!!
- Karla CarrilloMarch 26, 2013I really like this airport. Small & very easy to get around. Friendly airport. Good airport if you ever need to make a connection to get to your destination.
- Hobby has made so many improvements over the last few years and is really a great airport with plenty of amenities.
- I'm amazed at the lemmings who will go through the full body scanners here. Everyone should opt out.
- Dominic FortSeptember 8, 2014Happen to be passing through, be sure to swing by Pappas Burgers and say hello to Corey the bartender... Great personality and wonderful service.
- Christina BoggsNovember 7, 2022Pappasito’s Cantina can cobble together vegan food (side of black beans, pico, and tortillas). Otherwise, a veggie delite from Subway is your other option.
- Andres NovoaNovember 10, 2015When picking someone up keep left as you approach the covered portion. That line moves faster since people on the right are usually stopped to load.
- Candace BlydenburghFebruary 20, 2015Great airport to fly into and leave out of - easy to get through security and easy to get to the gates even with the construction
- Best place to fly in and out of if you’re going to the Houston area.
- Best chairs in Gate 43 of any airport I've been in outside of the Preferred Lounges. "Leather" sitting chairs with Power outlets and USB ports every 2 chairs.
- Good news and bad news. Good news is jet blue is here!! Bad news their bag check in does not open until 8:30 or 8:45. Super weird when everyone else is open.
- Formerly an airport for model airplane hobbyists, the line, "everything's bigger in Texas" became law and all the toy airplanes became real airplanes, however, the name Hobby stuck
- This is the easiest airport in the world. Short lines, lots of food options. Love it.
- I love Hobby Air Port! My only complaint is it needs more restaurants choices and it definitely needs a Starbucks!
- After you pass thru TSA, look up at the original neon sign that was once the exterior of the airport. Love that they maintain the history!
- George WJune 23, 2014It's an airport, what do you expect? Short lines at the TSA, it's comfortable, clean w/a nice food court. Take it from a real traveler, don't spend a lot of time in airports if you can avoid it!
- Only 51 gates and pretty much Southwest. Great option if you are headed to Galveston as you will save a ton of time
- As airports go Hobby is a breeze. It's small and friendly with decent food options and mercifully short security lines!
- AlmostVeggies.comJune 22, 2012Check out almostveggiehouston.com for the best places to eat in Houston! Hurry. Up.
- Main southwest hub in Houston, great restaurants.
- Southwest got me back EARLY! The TSA was actually friendly & their body scanners are more generic pictures then other airports I've been in. Felt less violated & the friendliness went a long way!
- Grab a beer and walk around the concourse with it. There are some decent food places in this place as well.
- ChristinaDecember 26, 2012Get a frozen original margarita at Papasitos. One of the best frozens I've had in ages. They put it in a plastic cup, too.
- Michael DeedsJanuary 2, 2014Much nicer airport than IAH and since it is smaller there are much shorter lines! The shops and food selection is also better than IAH's.
- Lines can get long, but they move quickly. A friendly smile can go a long way here.
- I will be glad when they finish the construction. When it's complete it will be more awesome.
- Despite holiday eve travel, Rental car return, shuttle and TSA all went smoothly!
- Agree with Jessica the rocking chairs are a nice Texan touch and the confined space in the pick-up area with idling cars gives the equally Texan polluted air experience
- Jeffrey GilesSeptember 25, 2014Beautiful airport. Spacious, easy to get around ans very convenient. Great choices for food!!
