Opened in 1972, this bridge was the first fixed crossing that connects Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine. (The two older spans, Memorial & Sarah Mildred Long Bridge, are both lift bridges).

Watch your speed limit of 55mph coming into Maine. State Troopers often sit within first 3 exits.
