Hotel is modern and trendy. Great stay for conventioneers and tourists. Walking distance to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome to catch a game or two. Just a few steps to all the actions too.
This hotel opened in 2011 and still is a new property with great bars/lounges and great staff. Only a 5m walk to French Quarter and a 7mi trip to/from the Amtrak Station! I'd stay here again xx
Attended conference here; Great hospitality, attentive desk staff. Parking was expensive. Stay at the attached Hyatt House for a suite with kitchen, breakfast included. Enjoyed Bgorne restaurant, too!
The vitascope lounge is a great place and you can sit in an area with your own tv and watch whatever game you want. However - the elevators are confusing
The elevators are different than others - you need to use your keycard or the dialpad to call. Don't board without doing this. No buttons in car for floors. Cars A-D are lower flrs, E-H are upper flrs
Friendly front desk staff. There's a big Starbucks and a full svc Fed Ex office on site open 7 days a week. My Room is small for my taste. Tiny bathroom, an armoire instead of a real closet.
Great place to get ignored by crooked bellmen, then struggle up two escalators with 100 lbs. worth of baggage and an injured hand to get to an insane elevator that won't stay open long enough to enter
Attached parkinggarage is at 1301 Girod Street but is cash only and gives change in dollar coins. Park at 1200 Poydras instead (blue PARK sign before hotel).
Traveler beware: Request an even numbered room. Odd numbers are in for a daily alarm clock of a garbage truck - complete w/ a symphony of beeps & dumpsters crashes - at the convenient hour of 4 a.m.
The check in was rather painful and finding your room can get a bit tricky as this place is quite a maze. Great spot though if you're going to an event at the Mercedes Super Dome.
Come by the AT&T Fan Zone at Bracket Town at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Mon, April 2, for a chance to get an autograph from basketball legends Jay Williams, David Robinson, & John Havlicek!
the north wing i believe was the old part of the hotel. for a new yorker, the room is big enough and theres a balcony. newly renovated. looks classy. though no coffee maker in sight :(
If you're staying at this hotel, beware that getting a cab when a game is over is near impossible. AND the cabs WILL charge you special event pricing even if you didn't go to the game.
Good morning from the first day of the U.S. Conference on AIDS. We're on Level 4 hosting a social media lounge and usability testing in Imperial 11 and 12 - come say hello!
Decent hotel, but nothing special. Can get a Le Meredian Starwood hotel in the area for about the same price. I'm usually not a fan of atrium style hotels but this one had some ok amenities
