Get some subway and Starbucks oh and a pretzel before ur train or bus on the alameda side of the train station
Just take the earlier train/bus. Have some extra time to start up in the morning with little rush.

Take the flyaway. It's an express bus to LAX runs every 30 min 24hrs a day!
Dunc WAugust 6, 2013The taxi drivers on the cab rank are a bunch of halfwit gunts who have no idea of the way around their city. Especially the rude asses working for that yellow firm. You're better off calling a cab.
If you're coming here for the first time, make sure u give yourself enough time to find hour way around cuz this place is Huge!!!

Be weary of the entrance to union station from the red line subway... The Wetzel Pretzel wind is a diet killer

During the summer, this place gets really hot since the building has no air conditioned..
Subway sandwiches just opened up! With Wetzel's Pretzels, Famima & Union Bagel here, too, my train rides home just got a lot better!

Visit Olvera St. right across from Union Station. The oldest street in Los Angeles!
When going towards Atlantic station Do Not bring your coffee or any opened drinks inside the train! $250 fine. Learned my lesson. Damn sheriffs are profiling.....
The 'restrooms' on the platforms have always been questionable. Try the ones inside the station.
