It's a wonderful place to pass time in DTLA. Love the LA Writer's section, where they always have a great selection of Bukowski, Chandler, and Didion titles in stock.

Such a cool bookstore. Shitons of books for whatever you are looking for. Good choice of vinyls too. All in a nicely and strangely decorated mood, it's a must seen.

This place is absolutely brilliant. Huge catalogue, fair prices. You can even read their books in the store sitting on one of their many couches. If you like books you'll love this place.

You have to check your bags in the front. Well worth visiting for the art, book sculptures and of course the selection of books, CDs and vinyl.

If comics are your thing: They're Housed in the "Secret Clubhouse" section on the first floor - they have a great selection of indie stuff (we even found some Zac Gorman signed books)!

Absolute perfection. My favorite place in the world. It’s got books, art, photography. If you’re an artistic person even in the slightest, this is as good as it gets.

This is a great bookstore where you can find multiple editions of your favorite books! So you can pick if you want a new or used book. They also have cool events so check their calendar!

Well first it's an old bank so architecturally the interior/exterior is pretty well maintained. Favorite features were the horror section upstairs in the second floor fault & lower level safe.

The variety of topics is impressive. It is beautifully designed. Books have become part of the overall design. On the second floor, you can also find artists' products and more books.

I'm obsessed!! Super cool place to come read books and get lost in the labyrinth. Beware the stuffiness. Come during the week when it's less crowded.

The main floor is massive and meticulously organized by section, and the magnificent upstairs labyrinth and book tunnel is an otherworldly, mad spectacle. Read more

A plethora of books and art galleries as well as aesthetically pleasing upstairs featuring local artists. You can buy the art and shop in the boutiques as well as buy used and new books. Must-see!

Housed in an old bank building, this bookstore is filled with new and used finds. Make sure to visit the upstairs 'labyrinth' - a walkable maze created entirely from books.

Walking through this bookstore is an experience in itself. Tunnels made of used books and a second floor dedicated to art makes this unlike any bookstore you've ever visited...

Great to go during the week. Too busy on the weekends. Sometimes you don't get phone service. The used books are pretty cheap for their condition. If buying new, look somewhere else before buying.

Amazing bookstore in the heart of DTLA. Love the design, and the extensive Sci-Fi/Fantasy section. Used book prices are reasonable.

Awesome random book library upstairs and artists in residency. Also every time you walk in someone yells "Welcome To The Last Bookstore!" I think they are compelled.

Open until 10 PM monday - Thursday, 11 PM on Friday and Saturday and 5 PM on SUnday. And opens at 10 AM seven days a week. Best priced bookstore in LA and one of the largest vintage/used bookstores

They make tunnels and other shapes out of books. But it is hard to find a particular book you are looking for. Nevertheless, shop here to bring Amazon down a notch.

Seriously amazing book store. Check out the second floor for $1 books. If you're a big manga person, there's also a section for $1 manga that is AWESOME.

Lots of vinyl!! lots and lots of vinyl too.... $1 for days, as well as newer stuff for what you're used to paying. Also, you think its awesome downstairs you got no idea....
