Who knew some of the best sushi in North America was in an LA strip mall. Go omakase, order a bottle of sake and casually try and figure out if that person sitting next to you is famous or not.
Get your photobooth picture here! Don't fall for the first one you see though, find the one that puts out real prints. Takes $4 in quarters. Totally worth it though.
There are power outlets in the corner tables outside. The wifi is free. Great tea selection.

the shrimp toast sandwich was so good i ate the whole thing with my eyes closed. also: fried chicken sandwich; lobster roll.
Get the extra lean corned beef on rye and the matzo ball soup. Get a fountain soda too. They have the best ice.
The chicken-and-waffles situation: amazing. And ask for the off-menu Braveheart cocktail.
Walk into the club via a vending machine – and enter the 80s: break dancers, Michael Jackson clone, 80s cover band, &c.
The quesadilla & the taco sampler. Skip the Armando Palmero - it was too sugary and just Meh.
So very authentic – I felt transported. Try the chicken sandwich, but you'll likely not go wrong with any choice.
