Horchata was too thick for my liking. Too grainy, no pun intended. The tacos were decent, not the best. I guess I'm just used to my mom's cooking. The waiter was kinda rude to top it off.
How badly I wanted to love this place because the VW camper (obvs)and cutest Mexican decor. We didn’t even finish our horchata drinks and food was forgettable. Sad :-(
Note the plastic bags of water tied off and hanging against the wall. This is sometimes done in Mexico to repel flies. Last I checked, even Snopes doesn't know if it works or not.
unfortunately its really gone downhill and feels like a tourist trap. give me back the original tacombi from playa del carmen! crispytacos w/bad mayo sauce. corn was awful.
Born on the balmy beaches of the Yucatan and now open in Nolita, Tacombi at Fonda Nolita offers you authentic Mexican cuisine, ice cold beer and a piece of the Mexican beachside lifestyle.
