Although ‘Glorious Britain’ provides sufficient, it is more a souvenirs shop.
The Spar in the main terminal ... Cheap cheap beer and nibbles for either pre or post flight relaxation

Layout has changed! Departures located at the very end of the terminal,
Airport is extremly overloaded. All the time. Queues are everywhere included toilets. You should be very patience
Can't understand why more people don't use fast track security. Best 5er you'll ever spend.
Nigel O' CallaghanFebruary 15, 2011If you're not in too much of a rush, check out the stansted express bus service rather than the train. It's very punctual, takes 40-60 mins depending on traffic and is only 15 pounds return!
No queues at 4am. And it’s always an exciting hunt looking for a working USB socket.
Since the refurbrishment started, the whole airport is dark, overcrowded and has lack of seats. Hope it ends soon.

Every 2 hours (generally) fast 250 National Express coach to Colchester and Ipswich
DON'T fly into Stansted on a late Sunday flight. The customs queue is guaranteed to be longer than your European flight (esp if you're non-Eu/UK)

You're only allowed liquids in a sealable bag of a certain size now. But then you buy as many as you like in the departure lounge and no one gives a toss.

"You can get shuttles here to the nearby hotels like the Premier Inn and the Holiday Inn. They tend to go every half hour. The to get to then you will have to go underground from the airport."
