RyanDecember 31, 2012If the queue is long to buy tickets, head downstairs in Rockefeller to Pret a Manger. They have free open Wifi so you can buy your tickets on your smartphone and get a barcode ticket.
Built in 1933 and designed by Architect, Raymond Hood. Height is 850 ft (260 m). Fact; It was during the construction of this building when the iconic ‘Lunch atop a Skyscraper’ was taken.

Lovely during the winter holiday season. The tree, the ice skating rink, the vibe...it truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
Go there instead of the Empire State. From the Empire State, you can't see the Empire State. From the top of the Rock, you can. And lines are shorter = Less waiting ;)
