Yard bird and Mac and greens. Appetizer tacos were a perfect light starter. For dessert get the sweet potato donuts. Make sure you go downstairs for some live music, cocktails and dancing.

Fun place for lunch! Combining soul food with a modern elegance and very pleasant staff. Reservations recommended as there can be a long wait at lunch.

No reservations on weekends, get in before 11am and avoid a long wait. Sundays feature amazing live music. Get the chicken and waffles, you won't regret it.

Chef Marcus Samuelsson really shows why he won Top Chef Masters and his brilliance at Red Rooster Harlem. Top 3 things for dinner are the Fried Yardbird, the cornbread, and the Mac & Greens!

I'm pretty sure a chemical reaction occurred between the Red Stripe and corn bread that left me pleasantly full and could probably end the obesity epidemic. Go for the corn bread and Caribbean bacon!

Best soul food joint in Harlem, there's even music and dancing downstairs on Friday and Saturdays. Exceptional corn bread. Get the yard chicken and then have the sweet potato donuts for dessert.

Bourbon fan? Ask the bartender for the "Earl of Harlem". Great mix drink with Marcus' own peanut infused bourbon (100% rye), Earl Grey syrup w/ touch of coriander, honey, lemon juice, etc. Enjoy!

Try the dirty rice and shrimp, perfect harmony of spices and tempered heat, offset by creme fraiche type sauce on the perfectly grilled shrimp; the toasted rice bits stuck to the skillet are a treat !
