TSA TIP #4 When loading your belongings onto the x-ray belts load them in an order to help expedite at the other end. THINK, (a) suit case first, (b) laptop bags/purse, & (c) your shoe & belts tray.

TSA TIP #5 Once through the x-ray machines take your belongings (trays) off the belts & get re-packed & dressed in the areas designated for this rather than holding up the lines at the x-ray machines.

Why is this place always so chaotic? Everyone always seems like they’re not sure what’s going on. A little unsettling.

Showed up at 1040 for an 1130 flight and actually had to wait for boarding about 15 minutes. If your flight is during the week, don't be worried if your running behind- you won't miss your flight!!!

TSA TIP #1: Before getting to the screening check points clean out your clothing pockets as well as any metals/jewelry etcetera and put them into your carryon bags (or jacket pockets) ahead of time.

The security lines here can make you question the very nature of epic time scales. Earth is 4.5 billion years old, dinos were around for 100 million years... Do yourself a favor and get on PreCheck.

If you want a decent IPA you have to go to Golden State Diner near gate 80/81. They have Sierra Nevada and Dogfish head.

Terminal C has many more dining options than Terminal A. If you end up in Terminal A, you're kind of out of luck on food. There are many four options and none of them are desirable (or healthy).

The carts that drive people around aren't equipped with horns. So if you hear a "beep beep" it's actually the driver making that noise. You should still step aside though.

Dining options have improved greatly in the United terminal. Looks beautiful. That said - isn't it time to improve the bathrooms that seem like a tribute to the Port Authority in the 80s?

Be sure to check from which particular terminal your airline flies. There are 3 of those, all connected by free air-train.

AirTrain Newark: costs vary by destination. Links EWR to NJ Transit/Amtrak; 45–90 min. to Midtown Manhattan. Look for "Monorail/AirTrain Link" signs (do not follow signs for Ground Transportation).

If you're flying united, check-in ahead of time and use an electronic boarding pass. If you have bags, you'll save so much time by going to the bag drop counter vs. the check in counter.
