Watch out for the little old man transporting the elderly around shouting "meep, meep" - while hilarious he's super dangerous and will run you over!
Easy to get to from NYC via train. 15-20 minute train ride and you're here.
I prefer P4 parking, 1st level always available early Monday morning (although always says full you will get a spot) and closest to terminal C

Renewed terminal A is very comfortable. Plenty of seats and shops.
Do not buy your tea right after security when your gate is 84. While balancing your luggage, you will spill the insane hot tea and burn your hand.
CLEAR is new here...... makes life so much easier during morning crush!
If you’re an international traveler - rush to immigration Zone C when you arrive to the gate to avoid big lines.
Please be nice to others. Please don’t listen to devices without earphones or eat odiferous foods on planes.
When is this airport getting an upgrade?? This airport is aesthetically and technologically backwards! A true eyesore!
Landing here after vacation is one of the most depressing things ever. Even the flight attendants seem upset. Terminal A is freezing in the summer and an oven in the winter.- Packing condoms in your luggage is OK. Just make sure it's not sitting right on top, where everyone can see it the minute you open your bag. Rookie mistake.
They decide to clean the hoods of 90% of the restaurants at the same time, so good luck finding dinner if you are hungry at that time.

Maddening security lines! They still haven't figured out how to staff appropriately for Friday's volume. Get it together!
Terminal C (by gate C125) has a Juan Valdez kiosk. Best coffee at the airport!
Kids under 12 don't have to go through the backscatter body scanner, they can go through the old school scanner!
Coming to or from NY Penn Station? TAKE THE TRAIN!! Seriously, it is so easy, don't waste time or money on a cab.

Give yourself plenty of time to get through security...or get TSA pre-approved to fly though before flying out of this airport.

Nick JonesAugust 27, 2016Whilst it is starting to look a little dated, it's a very easy Airport to navigate. Not keen on the bulk pay stations they use though for foods.
Watch out for lousy drivers, heavy Port Authority Police presence, delays and every nightmare you can possibly find in an airport (including getting lost!)

RCDecember 25, 2016Be careful when you're driving off. The signage for the highways can be confusing.
Global Entry (while still fast) is getting bogged down with human checkpoints here. Had to stop at three individual people. Was told "it's not EZ Pass" even though it has always been EZ Pass.
Take your iPad out of your bag. They claim they can't see through them on the X-ray. It will save you time from them taking it out and rerunning your bag anyway.

This airport is compact, serves the world and is well-connected to Manhattan. The food vendors suck here, though, so don't come hungry. Cheap eats? Dunkin' has a shop in baggage claim, terminal C.
Rogelio RobledoFebruary 12, 2015It is a big airport comunicated by an airtrain. It is far from NYC. It looks old and has a not so good view. There is no place to leave your luggage for a short trip to the city.
Newark is good alternative to JFK, smaller,less crowed and getting to and from the airport into the City will cost you the same. But (terminal B at least) is old, outdated and has no real facilities.
