Always arrive early for checkin. MIA almost always has long security lines.

Don't seat near any phaaceuticals sales reps! They talk a lot of sh$&t
Don't fly American at all costs the terminal is chaotic the staff is rude and their planes have the least amount of leg room I have ever flown on. Expect to wait up to 30 min for your bags at claim.
Who to TSA.gov and tell them to re-open the security checkpoint at H ASAP! It's closed!
Erica LJanuary 24, 2011Seriously, do not fly American Airlines when leaving Miami. My bag decided to stay an extra day in Miami and still hasn't been delivered. Thanks AA!
If you fly American and checked your bag, plan for a long wait to retrieve your luggage. This is the only airport in the US where the wait in baggage claim is one hour average.
SOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOW. Airport security is the epitome of a useless inefficient dumb meatbags pretending to do anything about security, damn time blackhole checking in and going through security checks..

Way out-of-date, some security points can't even handle electronic boarding passes (ie on smartphone), pretty sad for such a major airport.
Speak Spanish to TSA, they don't blink unlike in Indianapolis
