If you're flying US Airways you will be reporting to "J" terminal. Never has a line... easy to pass through.

Wear comfy shoes and be ready to hike. Wherever you got dropped off... your gate/plane (or car if you just landed) is miles away.

Eat some Cuban food at La Carretta in the D terminal at the Miami airport. Yummy!
What a dump. This place feels like a third world country. TSA is very outdated. Concourse H has mediocre dining options. What a sad experience for such a great destination like Miami.

Tia KimJanuary 18, 2011Before going through security, go to La Carreta for a Cuban. After the checkpoint, there's another Carreta at D21. Otherwise go to Versailles. They are owned by the same people.

Long, really long sliding walks... especially if you're going to the J concourse
Make sure your bag is 50 pounds please. You can slide with 51-52 that's all.- It is faster to walk to all the gates than to use the SkyTrain! Avoid it!

TSA people need to be a bit nicer and get the stick out their butts!
South Beach ICE BOX now open next to D11. Great food and reasonable prices. Wow.
