Heaven forbid your flight arrive early! You'll just be stuck on the tarmac waiting for a gate.
DONT CHECK A BAG IF YOU ARE FLYING INTO MIA--baggage claim at American is sooooo slow it will add 45-90 minutes to your trip!!!!!
The worst airport in America if you are using Terminal D and flying American Airlines! Employees of AA are apathetic and slow. Baggage delivery time of 30-60 minutes is normal!!!
Take care of your time ... your gate/plane could be miles away

Helio DiamantFebruary 7, 2012One of the worst airports I've ever been. Once you past security, there is nothing. Keep outside as long as you can. Or fly from Fort Lauderdale which is a lot better and only 20 minutes away

This airport sucks to fly out of. Hour long security lines and the workers all seem slow and disorganized. If I didn't have family in Miami I would never use this airport.

Try not to check a bag. Handlers must be sipping cafecitos back there instead of getting your bags out. No airport I've been at is quite this bad!
Never make a connecting flight mins apart. It's way to busy to even try and run to your next departing gate.
