At Maria's, we are here to serve you. We offer a full bar stocked with quality liqueurs, and a generous selection of Mexican beers. Oh, and more than 130 varieties of tequila. Some might find this excessive. We disagree. Great tequila is as varied as fine scotch; the Tequila Region of Mexico is home to over 100 distilleries, which produce over 600 brands of tequila. From these, we selected an assortment of superior tequilas to suit any palate or purpose. The bold plata or reposado varieties are perfect blended into a margarita. For sipping, we recommend one of our wonderful maduros (aged for a minimum of 3 years in oak barrels). We invite you to sample the exquisite tequilas we have gathered here, and gain a new perspective on this fascinating liqueur. We must ask though, that you refrain from sampling all of the varieties we offer in one evening. It is tequila, after all

Every month we offer at least one of our remarkable Tequilas at a discounted price. Since we offer more than 150 varieties, you should probably get started as soon as possible. It's a great opportunity for us to showcase the incredible variety and character of Tequila - and a great opportunity for you to walk out of Maria's with a new favorite

Gold Tequila is un-aged Silver Tequila colored and flavored with caramel. It is usually a mixto - or a Tequila that is not 100% blue agave. We offer both unflavored and flavored gold Tequilas

Clear Tequila bottled immediately following the distillation process is called Plata. It is also known as Silver or Blanco. Of the many types of Tequila, Platos are said to have the purest agave flavor

Reposado (or rested) Tequila is the best selling type of Tequila in Mexico. According to Mexican law, reposado Tequilas are aged in wooden casks for a minimum of two months. However, many high quality brands are aged from three to nine months. Reposado Tequila can be either 100% agave or a mixto. The aging process gives these Tequilas a mellow flavor while preserving the blue agave taste

Anejo (or aged) Tequila gets its distinctive flavor from being aged in wooden casks - such as old bourbon barrels - for a minimum of 12 months. Premium quality Anejos are aged from 18 months to three years for mixtos and up to four years for 100% agaves. While some anejo Tequilas are aged for as long as 7 years, many Tequila producers believe that excessive oak aging overwhelms the agave's distinctive flavors
