i think is the closest to really mexican cuisine, really tasty BUT is actually annoying having to make a reservation and wait 25 minutes standing and blocking all the small entrance area
The food was too heavy and too oily. I still think Taqueria is a lot better. However, I loved how the waiter made the guacamole at our table, this was cool.
Unfortunately this is not Mexico... So ingredients are not fully traditional, still the cactus, huitlacoche and pastor are as close as you can get from a real taqueria in Mexico. :)
For Mexico City standards the menu is pretty authentic but the flavours are bland and well bellow average! Shame :-( Mestizo still rules for best authentic flavours
It all started 50 years ago, with El Farolito, a taquería in a little corner of the then unknown Colonia Condesa, located just west of the historic centre of Mexico City... London"s most authentic Mexican taquería. The same tastes, ingredients, flavours and smells as found in Mexico City.
