Our weekend game plan: Get there as early as we can, buy one egg omelette, one with fresh fish, a couple plain bagels for later in the day, and then get home before the queue forms around ten.
Great bagels! The bialy is a bagel that's cooked differently than the others. Wikipedia steered me wrongly into thinking it would have stuff in the middle. Get it with spread with some flavor!
Pro tip: If it's crowded and you can, do yourself a favor and get your bagels untoasted and the cream cheese (if you're getting it) separate. Saves you the wait time and the people around you.
Best bagels in FiDi!! Great for a quick breakfast/lunch. They have a large smoked fish selection and their lox bagel is decent, but if you’re seeking really good lox this probably isn’t the place.
Keep this on the down low, but rumor has it Leo's is serving the same delicious bagels as the ever popular Murray's bagels. They even have the same specials listed. Shh...
Almost every one I talked to mentioned Leo’s, so had to try. I got an onion bagel with a garlic/sun dried tomatocream cheese. When I asked for it toasted, them had said the bagels were still warm.
I'm obsessed with finding the best sausage, egg, and cheese on toasted everything. This one is pretty damn good. Bagels are fresh and soft. Add avocado.
I had a turkey and baconbagel. So so good. Will definitely return and work my way through menu, but have to agree with other comments - the coffee is truly awful and service doesn't come with a smile
One of my favorite places for a bagel. It's tiny inside, but the options are great! Staff can be... Ugh, "snippy"... At times. But a fresh bagel makes up for it.
Best bagel place I've been able to find in FiDi. But why is it so dark and dank in there? They need to brighten up the place! Literally needs better lighting.
It is okay to get the tofu spread (scallions, too?) once in a while instead of the real big cream cheese. I used to eat the Orchard Street sandwich consistently, but I switched to just lox only. Alas
I tried a bagel from here and it was rock solid. They also have a very limited choice of bagels. Leo's did not have either of my two favorite bagels, Asiago or Egg. Very overrated.
Bagels are great. Egg sandwiches-not so much. They fry the egg like an omelette rather than break the yolk in pan, & it comes out kind of hockey pucky. They don't melt cheese either. Just get a bagel.
So sad that Leo's has gone downhill....been a loyal customer since '07 ... ordered 100s of times. I place the same order every weekend, and 3x in a row, they omitted an item, the same sandwich.
