One of the best NY's cheesecakes.Best tasted if you leave them in rood temperature for a while, at least for my taste (I am from Greece and I like my sweets a little bit less firm and more creamy).
Purists will opt for the No. 1 Original Cheesecake, but Junior’s flavored cheesecakes including a chocolaty devil’s food cheesecake and the strawberrycheese pie also stack up. Read more
Cheesecake, of course! If there's a line, check the bar - it's first come first serve, so even though there was a crowd outside, we sat down immediately after our show!
Original cheesecake is THE BEST! I walked over to Times Square to enjoy it. A slice may be too big, they also have a smaller piece called the little fella to give you your quick cheesecake fix.
I visited on 3 different occasions, twice I had the grilled cheese, & the day I left NY I had pancakes, all were so good, that's why I ate there 3 times. The cheesecake is a must-try, 10 out of 10.
Junior's is a New York staple when it comes to food, especially their cheesecake. I know you'll tend to avoid a diner in the middle of Times Square but I can guarantee you an amazing time here
Shared pastrami sandwich and shared cheesecake were one of the BEST recent places. Pickles on the table reminded me of years past. If you want REAL delicious deli, Juniors is the place to go.
Best cheesecakes, not kidding! Been coming to this place for years and nothing changed❤️ but away from the desserts, try their sandwiches and steaks! Really good❤️
Long lines (especially post shows) but worth it for classic yummy deli items. Matzah ball soup, potatoes pancakes, and cheesecake are all great!! Also pickles, cole slaw and beets to start are delish.
If you get a window seat facing the Shubert stage door know that you might have tourists sitting outside on the ledge eating their fries and coffee while looking up your dress. Very distracting.
Usually cramped inside, the food is good and plenty in flavor and choices. The cheesecake is good but to cheesee IMO. You must try it at least once but there are a lot of other good choices around.
My favorite post-Broadway tradition! The classic cheesecake is the way to go. I've also had the matzoh ball soup and beef goulash which are good bang for your buck.
Loved the original cheesecake. The reuben and pastrami sandwiches are gigantic..I recommend splitting an order of fries with someone if you are both getting sandwiches!
The line was long in the main restaurant but all we wanted was takeoutcheesecake. We went next door to the bakery instead. It did not disappoint. Original New York cheesecake in all its deliciousness
Try to go when the Broadway shows are playing. The wait time is less since it is located in Schubert alley. Great portions and cheesecake. Love the tribute to the old Brooklyn Dodgers.
Me and my husband shared the something different. It was amazing. We chose the chocolate moussecheesecake and didn’t not care for it much but neither one of us like dark chocolates.
Great variety, however a bit overpriced (7.25$/piece). Go for traditional NY cheesecake with berries on top or a complicated combo carrotcake-cheesecake!
Reuben was fantastic. Lots of good food in this restaurant. My server Sergio at the counter provided the best service I had while I was in NYC. He was amazing
I always make a point of getting some when I am in town and getting some delivered for when I get home. It's an institution for a good reason. It's amazing
Fun to revisit this establishment. It's upper-middle diner quality. But you should be going there for the cheesecakes anyway. Staff is really friendly - chat with them!
You should come here before "high traffic hours", because people are staying in a line for an hours. But it's worth it. Great kitchen! Love their cheesecakes!
Old time favorite despite the long waiting queue. Thier omletes are good, french toast is a bit dry but I loved it. Sevice is fast & waiters are friendly
The chocolate moussecheesecake is very rich and (too?) huge. Junior's excels at the lighter plain cheesecakes, maybe with a fruit topping (e.g. Cherry).
been to the one in Brooklyn before however the Times Sqaure location is just as great. lunchtime can be packed but it is well worth it. of course you have to have the famous cheesecake. yum!
The cheesecake is delicious. The food is low average. Limited pancake variety, and the French toast isn't really French toast. Good seating area. Basically only come for the amazing cheesecake!
Here's the deal. The Lox platter, which includes a bagel and cream cheese, is $17.95. But you can get a bagel & crem cheese for like $3.50, and then a side of Lox for $7,95. Savings!!!
Prices were relatively more reasonable in the very expensive area. It may be good to have a dinner while waiting for a Broadway show. I had a cheesburger which was OK.
