- Alex RainertSeptember 23, 2010For a perfect 1-2 punch, have the pork belly appetizer and the skate entree. Both are amazing and make you forget about the slightly too cool for school attitude from the staff.

- Yianns LianoglouMarch 21, 2010If you're here for brunch, do yourself a favor: get the steak and eggs. Unless you hate Awesome. I could also recommend whetting the appetite with a Bloody Maria with jalapeño infused tequila. Do it.
- Joseph AlpernJanuary 4, 2012Steak and Eggs all the way. Scone trumps the Brioche in my book, and their bloody mary's come with a pickled carrot ! Tasty....=]
- For brunch, try the pulled pork on a cheddar scone. You will not be disappointed.
- Great burger and an amazing bar selection. Great place to have a cocktail and chat with the bartender.
- CompassAugust 12, 2013A slew of food and design industry buzz keeps this fine dining spot full of people as pretty as the plates.

- Jason BradyJune 20, 2021Don’t recommend it. We waited more than 15 mins past our reservation to be seated. Took an act of Congress to get additional cocktails. Asked by hostess to hurry up because they needed the table.
- Stellah De VilleFebruary 21, 2010Beausolei oysters are at their peak. The Lamb loin is unexpectedly refined. Hints of cumin amongst the sunchokes. Insider note- best fries in the borough.
- Go for the burger-pint happy hour. Beautiful bar. Service is good. Great when Mom and Dad are in town.
- James has a lot of local ingredients but doesn't advertise it quite as prominently as some places in the neighborhood. Romantic atmosphere.
- Rubina FillionSeptember 26, 2011Go on a Sunday for the $30 three-course prix fixe. Great seasonal menu.
- I usually love James, but I did not love his frittata at brunch. It was flavorless & so disappointing. Luckily my side of bacon led me to feel less quiet-inside about it.
- Love the place - but today with a low sun, unbelievable how much DUST flying around!!!!
