If you're not ordering food you'll have to stand, but there is plenty of room to stake out a spot if you arrive early. Small plates are recommended. Watch out for gratuity included on your bill.
This spot doubles as a night club and concert venue. If you're coming to see a show, get here early, as you may be able to snag a table, which are first come, first serve.
Instead of going through the door to the main floor, do a 180 and take stairs to balcony, get a table and enjoy the view (drink minimum for tables though)
Definitely thee spot to go to on a Saturday night! It has a great atmosphere, great drinks, and staff is exceptionally helpful. Often host to numerous musicians, leaving people coming back for more!
Beautiful venue, but unless you arrive early to have dinner you end up standing in the back or at be bar. Add the slooooow coat check and you'll need a lot of patience to enjoy the show...

Coat check! The amazing staff perfectly reflects the venue that hired them. Small but cozy and incredibly clean. Sound is crystal clear and the lights are phenomenal. Any show here will be a great one Read more
Have dinner before you get here. We were supposed to get three cheese grilled cheese, tomato soup, and medium rare sliders. We got cheddar sandwich, acorn squash soup, and well done burgers. Ick.
Highline ballroom is the economy class of clubs. Full of club promoters. The venue is big and the entertainment was great. Paid $30 bucks and the three of us had free drinks all night (2 girls 1 guy).
When the Highline conversion crept across Manhattan it was a no-brainer to open a music venue to go with it. Thus the Highline Ballroom was born to meet all world music, jazz, and indie-rock needs.
Don't check your coat. Hold on to it. You'll be waiting a while @ the end of the night to retrieve it. Unless you plan on chilling in the back to be the first one to grab yours when the show ends.
The sliders are Kobe. The talent is diverse. 3 bars, intimate vibe, and a cool box office staff! Highline is top shelf! You can see the stage from just about anywhere. TW ♥'s Highline Read more
This is a cool place. Has a nice upstairs balcony. I'd be cautious on the stairway entrance; it is narrow and when there is a crowd, it seems to be a bit tight.
First time at this venue although I'm sure it was something else in the 90's and I just can't recall, but the acoustics were really nice, got a private view of the backstage which was nice, fellow pee Read more
The food and beverage menu really stand out at this club. Get there early and grab a table upstairs. If you are a baller, go for bottle service and snag the couch.
FYI if you buy two tickets and can only use one, you're outta luck. Sit upstairs, ask for Colette to be your server. And Over the Rhine is off the chain amazing.
Go to Highline Ballroom for The Roots' residency. Once a week, Jimmy Fallon's new house band does a loose late-night jam after taping. Small venue, lots of guests, lots of fun.
14$ for a rum n coke gtfo ...fun but come drunks drinks hella $$- get upstairs in VIP u have ur own bathroom if I get a bottle say it's a celebration they come out wit sparklers
Shady practices. Auto 20% gratuity when paying at the bar with card. No tap water. I guess when it comes to illegal practices, their motto is "go big or go home"
$30 for a double vodka soda?! Yea it was strong but at that price I would have split a bottle. According to the bartender a $30 double means better vodka "like Absolut or something". EEEEKKKKKK!!!!
Go on Saturday night for the Rewind Show. Get a table and go with a good group of people. Had some single friends looking for other singles and it was tough. People in groups had more fun.
