You're not allowed to check-in baggage more than 4 hours early. This is for Southwest, you might want to check with the other airlines.
Weston CobleFebruary 12, 2013Security was a breeze, maybe because it is a Tuesday afternoon, but it only took 20 min from sig. at MGM to actual terminal. Very efficient airport. My advice , fly mid week.
Leftover water, soda or winnings in your bag? Drop unopen containers into the USO donation bins before you enter security.
Plan to arrive plenty early if flying Delta - check in is slooooooow!

Terminal 3 is new and neat. Sprawling, but we may grow into it.
Prepare to walk a bit, but there is plenty of things to do.

KatherineAugust 19, 2014If you're headed to the strip and taking a taxi, keep in mind there is a $3.00 fee for using a debit/credit card. Avoid it pay cash.
When the cab driver pushes the choice between strip vs. freeway, tell him to take paradise && save >$10. Strip is slow and freeway is longer.

The car rental center is several miles from the terminal and buses to the new terminal 3 are only once every 20-30 minutes. Not convenient at all. People were taking cabs!

Theodore KimNovember 29, 2011It's a *long* walk from ticketing to most gates, so leave plenty of time to make your flight. Rental car drop-off to Terminal 1 requires *two* shuttle rides.

A layover where you don't exit the plane can be a money saver vs. a terminal layover. Play the odds. Roll the dice. NB: The House always wins, in the long run.
