The mussels were cooked perfectly. The classic is a classic done right. The duchess of bergamot is an amazing cocktail. The bread was heavenly too. They change their draught beers often.
All of the dishes at this seafood joint are incredible, but the one featuring fresh mussels topped with littleneck clams, bacon, red pepper flakes, breadcrumbs and herbs is our favorite. Read more
Mussels mussels mussels (and oysters too)! More choices than one could ever imagine. Just ask the server for his/her fav - sure it will be great! We had the san daniele and acadian (pictured)
Got the number 23 mussels of the day and the lobster mussels in a red sauce (asked for them cooked without butter) - both were amazing! The cocktails were okay and the donuts are a must!
Mussels are cooked to perfection here. I got the Thai broth and it was everything I needed on a rainy day. It also comes with sourdough bread and it’s 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
My favorite restaurant in NYC! if you're in the mood for something light get the Thai mussels. If you want something heavier go for the Parma and add mushrooms! And don't forget the donuts for dessert
Lemon curd doughnut hole is a sleeper hit. Would come here just for that even though it is a restaurant. Mussels and frites are of course good. Tuna carpaccio and Kumamoto oysters if they have them.
They know how to do broth here. Get the truffle fries and donuts for dessert! Flavors mixed well, and look for the fun instructions on the hallway wall too.
Excellent food! Quality is always amazing - it's crazy to never get a single bad mussel, ever!! Don't forget to try the oysters, other mains, cocktails and desserts too!
Got the fungi and San Daniele mussels, very good I really recommand them. The sauces were so good! The sauvignon blanc was great as well. Super experience!
A friendly, casual eatery. We had oysters for starters, super fresh, 4 different kinds. The mussel pot itself was delicious & beautiful. Great wine menu too.
get a glass of the organic sancerre- it is so crisp and refreshing. Dijon mussels are a bit overwhelming but most others are delicious. If you like big hunks of bacon, get the funghi!
Cool seafood spot. Has the appeal of a popup place and the food doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed the Maine mussel pot and the Virginica Oysters. Good for dates too.
Get the Thai Mussels, grab your first one and use the shell from that as your "tongs" for the rest of the meal! So much easier than actual cutlery. Side: Truffle Fries. Cocktail: Flex Side-blast.
It had been years since I had eaten at Flex Mussels, probably 5 years in fact. The food was still excellent, particularly the filled donuts for desert.
CarbCounters!: Debating eating the bread while waiting for the kitchen? Save bread for leftover broth after you've finished the mussels. Truffle fries: more truffle flavor plz.
new winter happy hour - all you can eat mussels from 5:30-6:30. guys who work here are great. don't miss the salted caramel donuts; they're to die for!
