One of the best spots in Brooklyn for authentic German beers and Bavarian bar food. Family friendly, great for groups, and affordable, there's a reason it's always crowded on weekends!
Love the big heffeweisen here...the sausage is really good, and it's all served to you by cute blonde foreign chicks. I dig it and cons here often. Lots of great seating outside when it's nice our too
Not-so-secret-very-small-garden in the back! Great German beer selection, you can even try out the traditional Berliner Weisse with woodruff or raspberry syrup drink. Pretzels are good.
Wouldn't call this a beer garden, but great regardless. Service was prompt, the food was great (get extra curry ketchup), and plenty of beer to choose from. Cash only though, so leave the plastic home
The DSK folks only tap German kegs—each of which has its own corresponding set of mugs. All of the sausages are delicious, but branch out and order the Leberkäse ($5), German meatloaf on a roll. Read more
Laid back and casual with German Biergarten decor. Large selection of beers and food items. Pretzel is huge, fries are hot. Jolly servers. Trivia nights. Large space inside, and outdoor sidewalk seats
neighborhood spot for german beer and food. outdoor tables in front during the summer. perfect for groups. sometimes they have live music and it's close to lots of subway stops
They're serving 0.5L of any wheat beer from draft menu and a plate of fresh cut double fried Pommes or a sausage in a Brezelbun with a side for Ales N' Apps Week (May 9-13)
A large selection of German beer, a close walk to Ft. Greene Park (date tip: picnic), and plenty of Europeans to discuss the finer points of the Bundesliga and Goethe with.
Try the Bologna sandwich with a fried egg. If you're super hungry, get a Bretzel and the split pea soup with a sausage. Ask for the sausage on the side.
You'll have dreams about the bakery-fresh buns they serve the German faire (esp the bratwurst/currywurst) on. Wash it down with a boot-glass full of beer. Das ist goot.
Ordering beer can be tricky in a place where you can't pronounce the names of any of the beers, but it's worth it. Getting a boot will seem like a good idea until you actually do it.
Ask for the short run "special beers" they highlight almost monthly. They may last only last a week or two but worth a try! (The baconflavored beer will bug you out! But it is gooooood!)
This place was SO GOOD!! The food is great. Service was so-so (not terrible but not great), and the mulled wine was terrific. Food for 6 people was only about $100 total.
