Juston Payne: There are time when you eat something that is unequivocally The Best You've Ever Had. Ululani's blatantly takes that slot for shaved ice.
Epicurious: This fish house opened when no one went out to eat fish - and today, this is where they go. The daily menu tells you where, how, and who caught the fish, and the side dishes are perfect matches.

ecomagination: Enjoy a brew & learn how Kona’s reclamation system controls the air conditioner for water heating, and collects more than 90 gal. of condensation per day used for landscaping irrigation.
Greg Gerschenson: Wow. Cheap, gigantic shaved ice that's delicious. I got: horchata, cinnamon, vanilla, wedding cake combo with a scoop of vanilla in the middle. Mind blowing.
Tucker Patch: If you're spending time at the North Shore, you'll need close to two hours to get here. Incredible views once you make it. The scenery change from one end of the island to the other is breathtaking!
Blue Dolphin Charters: A wonderful place to see the diversity of our little island. Go in the morning to avoid fog in the afternoon. Bring plenty of water with you.

Diana DJ: Yum rum! Enjoy a free 20min taste testing every half hour with the last session being at 3:30pm. The Spice and Coconut rums were delicious. Great gift shop too
Benson Chan: Fancy food made from local ingredients, one of the pricer restaurants in Kauai. Service is great as well. If weather is nice ask for table with a view. Reservations recommended.
Diana Hong: Delicious fresh organic food, great for vegans and gluten free eaters. Highly recommended! Crab cakes and Taro fritters are a must. The quinoa was a wonderful surprise. I feel high.
Ziyan C: From watching the locals: get the special, order a grilled chicken/pork stick, mix soy sauce and mustard in a little sauce plate, dip the meat in your new sauce, and mix into the special.
Tony Xerri: Do not wear flip flops. You will regret it. Learn from my mistakes. When you're done with that, take a trek down and observe the amazing scenery but be careful during windy days, can get dangerous...
Rebecca Livingston: Get here early! We arrived at 10am and got a perfect parking spot, as well as a awesome spot on the beach! Also, earlier is cooler, so less chance of a sun burn!!
Zak Suhar: There's a little sandbar right off of the beach, a perfect place to catch the sunset. Just be careful of the little waves that might get you more wet than expected!

Melissa Fossum: So freakin' good! The pineapple and coconut mix well together. Spicy and hot won't burn ya at all and the mustard is delish. Be sure to try the lemonade and onion chips, too!
Lisa: I know why they call this place Da Crack. The fish taco was the perfect blend of fish, spice & taco crispy. The black beans are spicy & the rice full of flavor. One just won't do it.
Lindsay: Got the garlic shrimp and grasshoppa dish. Both were really good. Unlike most places on kauai, the grasshoppa is really spicy! So don't get it if you can't take heat.
