I’ve been here 3 times and always loved it! Menu changes but never was I disappointed! I love here for a wide range of great oysters and all sorts of dessert and seafood done the French way ;)
This little guy (a.k.a. the Sipping Chocolate) could is the best hot chocolate I tried in Toronto. It is completely melted 65% Peruvian dark chocolate with no added milk!
Upscale French inspired cuisine with excellent seafood offerings. Seafood tower is plenty to share and worth it! Wonderful outdoor seating and service. Ask for guidance on menu and wine pairings.
This place was exquisite! The decor, the service, the atmosphere, and best of all: the menu! For brunch, get some pastries, try some fusion eggs benny, like the Banh Mi benny!
First time trying poutine, after years of working in Canada. Amazing! The service, vibe, and food at Cluny are all amazing! I would definitely recommend this place for a great night out.
Fantastic modern French fare! Enjoyed the Moroccan chickpea and sweet potatotagine was a highlight. Their bakery section is also great if you want a snack (try their crepes). A bit pricey
Salmon tartare, deconstructed salmonravioli is wonderful. They make an excellent steak. Duckpoutine a little heavy. King and queen kale salad may not sound exciting , but loved.
Must try the passionfruitsoufflé if you dine in. Share with a date. Or get the Greek yogurtsorbet to go (@ the boulangerie) and walk around. A pretty resto- prob the go-to spot in the Distillery.
The oyster special is a great deal ... The bread selection is amazing but surprisingly I found the foie gras a bit over done (rubbery) so explicitly remind them to not over cook the foie gras
The seafoodlunch and the Frenchyburger are absolutely incredible. The bread that they give you is amazing as well and I love how the butter was unsalted. And the dining atmosphere is beautiful.
I started with "Lime and chili marinated black king fish" and it was delicious. As a main course, I ordered "lamb two ways" . very tasty and fulfilling although it looks like is a tiny portion.
What a great place! Could it be that Toronto is finally getting a few decent places to eat outside of chinese food??? Bravo Cluny but certainly not cheap... Enjoy it folks!
Surprised at the great options for vegetarians! Try the sesame crusted asparagus sticks, the two-kale salad, and definitely the sweet potatocouscous. It was spectacular!
We liked the braised beef but it was too oily. We loved the madame duck, it was yummy! Drinks here are too pricey, especially the Mojito was really disappointing because 3/4 of the glass was only ice!
This place's got quite nice interior. As for the food, it suffers from typical modern French cuisine problem - boring simple food, and smallest portions in the world. The bread they serve is great.
The burger is great but beware--it's huge. Probably around a pound. You may want to take it easy with the appetizers. The baked sauvagine was outstanding. Steak tartare was nice.
Seafood stew's dominant flavour was saffron. Our mains arrived across 10 mins (we were 4). Asked for a spoon, asked for the wifi password, they were never brought to me. Utterly disappointing.
Cluny Bistro is Distillery District’s entry into the wonderful world of French inspired food with a modern twist -- we’re not your parent’s French Bistro!
