- BourbonautJune 26, 2018This place is excellent. I am not one to get the same thing every time I go to a restaurant but the Shrimp and Cheesy grits are amazing. I get it every time. Service is awesome as well.
- Hei-Yu TangOctober 7, 2015Cute little place serving tasty Soul Food. Their fried chicken is awesome and also their oysters. Don't get put off by the waiting line, it goes quite quickly. Love the Big Momma's Chicken Sandwich.
- Erica LovelaceJanuary 8, 2016I had an amazing pork belly special with cheese grits, onion jam and a freekin poached egg. WOW it was rich but so good. Go closed to 2:00 to avoid a super long line.
- Thomas ColtonMarch 27, 2016Dude, if you come here, you'd better be ready to EAT! Nothing bad on the menu, but I'm partial to the fried chicken, mac and cheese, and peach and blueberry cobbler (pictured).
- Megan AllisonJanuary 16, 2017No wait for a Sunday dinner. Cute lesbians everywhere dishing out friendly service, delicious food and a surprisingly hip beverage selection in a perfectly appointed space. Zero complaints.
- H HDecember 27, 2015You seriously need to order the corn succotash omelette with the cheese grits and biscuit (with the fried chicken cutlet and sausage gravy on the side). You're welcome.
- My go to’s are the pork belly grits, shrimp and grits, crawfish beignets and the watermelon iced tea. You can’t go wrong with those!
- The biscuits and gravy with the chicken cutlet are to die for. The people are super, and every bite of every dish is delectable! The only downside is their limited bar selection.
- Saranya SampatFebruary 19, 2018The biscuits and gravy is a must try. You get 2 eggs of any style and I chose poached. Add fried chicken breast for $5. It was a perfect Sunday brunch.
- Luke BornheimerAugust 10, 2016The second location of the "Brenda's" family, from the owners of Brenda's on Polk, Meat & Three serves up delicious (and heavy/rich) dishes to long lines on the weekend—shorter lines during the week.
- Jaiy BuckNovember 11, 2022Make sure to check out the Meat and Three option! I particularly like the Mac b Cheese as well as the red beans and rice to go with my fried chicken.
- Ricky SherrillNovember 15, 2016I am from the South and grew up going to these type of spots. They do a great job here. Went for lunch & want to go back again for breakfast.
- joahnnaSeptember 30, 2018Fried Chicken is delicious but man the beignet is definitely the star. I was surprised how much I liked the crawfish but the chocolate is a fave.
- Kendal CockrelAugust 16, 2018Beignets were amazing and HUGE. Also, biscuits and gravy + fried chicken = heaven! The wait isn't as long as it's sister restaurant but they only seat full parties.
- Coralie SabinAugust 23, 2015Dinner is better than brunch in my opinion. Share a meat and three: Mac n cheese, biscuits and mashed potatoes are delicious. Any meat is great!
- tina huangMarch 27, 2017never skip out on the beignets, pulled pork hash, or watermelon sweet tea. if there's a beignet special, order it!!
- Nicole RocchioSeptember 27, 2019The beignets and pulled pork scramble were delicious! Apple beignet is by far my favorite.
- It’s ALL good. Killer fried chicken, gumbo and of course beignets to top it all off. You can’t go wrong.
- Ashley RoseNovember 6, 2017Heavy, to be expected southern food. Gumbo and biscuits and gravy are a must.
- Jennifer SlotnickApril 11, 2015Chicken fried steak was great with hot sauce. Loved my mashed potatoes and garlic spinach.
- tablehopperMay 6, 2015A thick slice of fried Saag’s bologna ($8.25) is generously layered with pimento cheese and tucked into a toasted bun. This sandwich is one of those things that is so wrong but, really, so so right.
- Johnry MangononOctober 22, 2019The fried chicken was delicious! I recommend adding some of the Louisiana hot sauce and having the stewed okra & tomatoes.
- Steve TanJanuary 11, 2015I came for brunch and enjoyed the food here more than the original Brenda's! Was looking forward to the crawfish beignet but sadly they don't have them on the menu here.
- Renée VargasMarch 2, 2018The salmon is out of this world. Cornbread comes with a delicious pepper jelly. Save room for dessert!
- Melon LFebruary 8, 2016Fried chicken sandwich is amazing, but skip the pulled pork hash. Calas are also extremely dense, be prepared to be full after eating only 2.
- Biscuits and Gravy with Fried Chicken was excellent for brunch!
- Alex SmithFebruary 6, 2015The latest from soul food queen Brenda Buenviaje with great brunches and meat. Get Shrimp hushpuppies, it's really good - https://luka.ai
- Frances JamesDecember 12, 2015Great spot by Brenda of Brenda's brunch fame. Really solid biscuits and other southern food done right
- Sam KakriaApril 12, 2015If you're confused by the awesome dish choices, some dishes have a 'taste' option so you can sample before you commit :)
- Hush puppies, red beans and rice, collard greens, fried catfish, peach cobbler... yes, everything
- Ceren AteşMarch 6, 2021Delicious food and great service. Will be our go-to indulgent breakfast spot.
- Michael AldereteDecember 23, 2016There is never a good reason to not get the gumbo or red beans and rice. If you don't eat it there, take it to go.
- Paula HoltAugust 23, 2017Collard greens to die for, divine biscuits, many wonders with a touch of Cajun. Yum.
- Jeff MelnykApril 6, 2018Delicious. The gumbo was perfect. Real southern service with a cheeky smile.
- The spicy chicken sandwich is really good. Also recommend that iced tea with watermelon.
- Amanda MorelandApril 16, 2016All of the brunch food at this place rocks. One of my favorite Restaurants.
- John StefanskiJune 20, 2016Biscuits and Gravy with the Chicken Cutlet. A glorious way to start your day.
