Early mornings trying to get a coffee amongst the holiday makers? Costa at gate 48 is empty
The new Departures passenger security area has just opened and boy is there a queue. Going thru security has gone from a 2 to a 20 minute ordeal. Give yourself plenty of time
Make sure you buy an express security pass, security here is super slow.
Instead of queing for the self service checkin machines by desks 65-69, use the ones by desks 1-5, they're usually empty!
Make sure you have your toiletries in the clear plastic bag the right size...they charge for the same bags other airports give for free..wtf

Give yourself at least 30+ for security as the cues are crazy.!!
Go through priority security for £3 and skip the queues!

Very poor signage. You'd need to go downstairs if arriving from the train to check-in, then go upstairs again to the departure lounge. Airport needs a redesign.
