One of the best Airports around , parking easy , clean and tidy ,
Buy magazines/ newspapers/books etc before you go through security or face waiting in long queues. There are multiple WHSmiths before security which are usually much quieter.

If you hold the biometric UK passport use the ePassport gates, they work and it's fast!
Best with e-passport. Well served to city center.
If you're here in the early am, checkin agents only show up at 4am. If you wanna beat the queues get to the desks by 3.30am.
Toni FordApril 9, 2013If checking in large groups at self check in only put in 3 at a time or it crashes. A very slow and frustrating hour spent checking in.
The check-in people at Emirates are the gloomiest and grumpiest people in the world.

There aren't many places to eat once you're though security (Pret, Burger King, Costa and some expensive bars)
Ash KirbyJune 22, 2012New security area, same old problem, TURN ON THE E-PASSPORT GATES! there's no point having them if they are always turned off! queue's are massive and car park is too expensive.
Staff all really pleasant in duty free n shops and checking in. Isn't that nice for a change?
Find allbarone the food is much better than in the main food part.

for the best prices on alcohol and perfume and get the best service, come on down to alpha retail shopping.
It's good to be back! Or not. Whatever the case may be.
Took me over 20 minutes to get through security. Plan your trip with a lot of time to have that sorte so you won't have to run to your gate.
Park at train station , half the price if on airport ..and as handy to get to

George MacDApril 8, 2015Poor arrivals experience having to be bussed to terminal and driver getting lost. Otherwise an okay airport overall with handy connection to the railway station.
Have some money for the drop off carpark as it can be very expensive in a short time period
