Honestly... the chicken was dry, not organic look. Don't know why people say is the best. You need an extra side of oil to swallow it. Very good kale salad. Carbonarabucatini was very peppered.
Great spot for Brunch in West Village not overly crowded at noon. Best item on the menu uovo al forno - baked eggs with polenta, creamed spinach, and Parmesan.
The crispy chicken here, marinated in olive oil then split and roasted in Barbuto's brick oven, is classic Waxman simplicity. One of our picks for the city's best roast chicken! Read more
This colorful, slicked-up car park turned fashionista hangout offers a prime view of the West Village people-watching scene and Italian cucina. Eating seasonal food in a garage was never so much fun.
Amazing! Gnocchi, Bucatini w tomatoonion & pancetta, Wild Striped Bass in Gazpacho, Skirt steak - yum yum yum. Desserts - even better; order one of everything - seriously.
Gnocchi is a winner, the bruschetta another highlight and the bartender makes a great martini. One winter time tip--don't sit too close to windows, they're drafty!
Have the fumo del mare while at the bar waiting for your table, the pollo al forno & potatoes for your meal, and the italian pudding for dessert. Can't go wrong!
Food is consistently a knock out but staff and service just as consistently underwhelming. Friendly, just... spacey and inattentive. Still worth the visit, just something to keep in mind :)
The appetizers were delicious, wine selection was nice. The steak and chicken plates left a lot to be desired. Definitely expected a better meal considering how highly the waiter spoke of the food.
Delicious eggplant topped bruschetta. The seasonal gnocchi is great. So is he sweetbreadappetizer. Try the hazelnut chocolate chipice cream sundae for dessert. The food is heavy but very satisfying
