Soo Bahk Do Is a Discipline and An Art Form Taught By Master Instructor Oliver Whitcomb.
Soo Bahk Do develops personal discipline, strength, flexibility, coordination, and is a practical form of self-defense. Safety is of the utmost importance. Karate Kids
White and Orange Belts, Ages 8-12 (White and orange belt) Mondays and Thursdays, 4:00-5:00pm; Two days per week, 10-week session; January 5 March 12, Mondays and Thursdays, 4:00-5:00pm. This class systematically hones basic stances, blocks, punches, and kicks for a good foundation with all techniques. Form training and partner activities are introduced at this level as well. This class will improve discipline, respect, eye focus, flexibility, strength, and coordination in all facets of life.
Tiger Tots
All Levels, Ages 5-6 years; Mondays, 3:00-4:00pm; One day per week, 10-week session; January 5 March 9. Develop discipline, respect, eye focus, flexibility, strength & coordination as well as a foundation for learning martial arts.
Advanced Soo Bahk Do
Green Belts and Above , Mondays and Thursdays, 5:00-6:00pm; Two days per week, 10-week session; January 5 March 12 . This class emphasizes all areas of training needed to become a Dan. This level is about refining technique, improving strength, and flexibility, and developing character through hard training. Free sparring & board breaking is emphasized more at this level.

Kids Camp
Thank you to all Kids Camp participants for another great summer of fun! Look for information next Spring on our 2015 Camp. Zenergy summer kids camp runs from early June through mid-August, Monday through Friday from 8:30am-1:30pm for kids ages 4-8 years old. Camp starts off at the Community School every morning in the Early Learning Center with arts & crafts and time on the playground with fun outdoor games and activities. They head over to Zenergy around 10:15am each day for the line-up of endless Club activities: little tennis, swimming, kids yoga, Zumba, squash, kayaking in the outdoor pool, kid fit, golf at Bigwood, fishing, etc. Pick up is at 1:30pm on the Zenergy poolside lawn.
Peak Performance Tennis
Peak Performance (Pp) Is a Specialized Competitive Tennis Program That Provides Junior Players with Every Possibility to Reach Their Greatest Potential.
Head Peak Performance Coach George Maurtua is a Nationally Certified US Tennis Professional Association (USTPA) Pro 1 Instructor and also holds a Certification in Athletic Mental Training from the Human Performance Institute.
It Was a Great Summer with Mulitple Peak Performance Camps. Look for Upcoming Program Dates This Fall.
The Camp Offers a 6-to-1 Ratio with a Maximum of 12 Kids Per Day, Ages 8-17.
The combination of on-court tennis instruction, agility and footwork, tactical drills, mental toughness/mindset coaching, and video analysis along with specialized fitness workouts make this program both unique and successful.

Zenergy's trainers are qualified to help young athletes achieve the goal of being stronger, quicker, and more flexible. Personal training can help your teen simply get into better shape or gain a competitive edge in their sport of choice. Zenergy offers a 3-pack of personal training sessions for children ages 12-14 years old. Each session will focus on safety in the gym; participants will then be required to complete a written test at the end of their training sessions. Children ages 12-14 years of age must complete the 3-pack of training sessions and the written exam to receive their gym certification. Once the gym certification is received, they may then work out in the gym without supervision. Children under 12 years of age are not permitted in the cardio-weight training gym.

Maria Beattie
Maria was a competitive swimmer and diver from Connecticut. She holds a B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology from Southern Connecticut State University. A swim instructor since college, Maria has been coaching the local swim team since 2009. Maria encourages hard work and improvement along with a strong emphasis on learning technique and having fun. When away from the pool, Maria enjoys mountain biking, trail running, and skiing.
Ed Flory
A Sun Valley resident since 1985, Ed Flory has been involved in swimming as a competitor and coach for more than four decades. Ed was a nationally renowned swimmer at Kutztown University, a NCAA Division II National Champion and 15-time Coaches All-American. He trained with USA Swimming for the World Games in Berlin and the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow (which the United States ended up boycotting) . In 2002, Ed earned a master's degree in natural health from Clayton College. He launched the Masters Swim Program at Zenergy in 2001 and ran it for three years before moving on to other endeavors. Currently, he is our age group kids' swim coach, is also available for private lessons, and is proud to once again take over the ever-growing Zenergy Masters program.
Yvette Hubbard
Clinics & Program Manager, Email: yhubbard@thunderspring.com, Phone: (208) 725.0595 x141. Yvette has been in the fitness industry for over 25 years as both a personal trainer and instructor. Her high energy and spunky attitude as a Boise State University cheerleader allowed her to transition easily into high-impact aerobics and hip-hop dance instruction. Currently she is the Clinics and Program Manager for Zenergy, teaches everything from Bikini Boot Camp to gentle yoga, and in her spare time accepts private training clients. Yvette's hobbies include hiking, running, and camping with her best friend and husband of 15 years and her two crazy yellow labs.
George Maurtua
George started his tennis career at the age of four on the red clay courts of South America. He climbed up the junior ranks to South American and Peruvian junior champion and has been ranked 16 in singles and 7 in doubles nationally in the USA in his age group. George has gone through rigorous training and testing by the United Professional Tennis Association and has earned the high honors of a USPTA - Professional #1 Certification. This is one of the highest achievements earned by a teaching professional.
Karen Morrison
Karen holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota and is certified as a Clinical Exercise Specialist, A.C.E. Personal Trainer, A.C.E. Wilderness First Responder, W.M.I. - IVOLS. Karen enjoys helping people improve their personal fitness levels according to their unique circumstances, talents, limitations, and desires. She believes that fitness leads to health, both physically and mentally. Small steps turn into great journeys with time. In her free time Karen enjoys hockey, swimming, hiking, and biking.
Oliver Whitcomb
Soo Bahk Do Master Instructor, Email: mundonim@gmail.com, Phone: (208) 720-6088. Oliver Whitcomb has trained in the art of Soo Bahk Do since 1979. He is a nationally certified master level instructor. He trained in Korea from 1986-1992. Oliver holds a BA degree in East Asian Studies and Korean Language. He has run part-time schools in Hawaii (1989-1992) , and Seattle (1993-1996) . Since moving to Hailey in 1996, he has taught Korean Karate (Soo Bahk Do) full time. He has had deep involvement with the community including integrating martial arts training into Sun Valley Adaptive Sports and developing a stretching and breathing curriculum for the Wounded Warriors.
Margie Caldwell-Cooper
A competitive swimmer from Santa Barbara, California, in her youth, Margie Caldwell-Cooper, B.A. Ed., Aquatic Exercise Association Global Fitness Professional of the Year 2006, loves learning as much as teaching all levels of exercise participants and instructors on land and in the water. Now certified by ACE (gold) , AEA, AFAA and Yoga Alliance, she has grown with the fitness industry, moving from group classes taught in leg warmers to the current focus on core fitness, balance, and fusion workouts. Margie brings Hydro-Fit education and classes to Rancho La Puerta health spa and travels to offer continuing education to instructors around the country, focusing on core training and functional fitness for Water Fitness workouts. For winter fun, she still swims, snowboards, and teaches Pilates in Ketchum/Sun Valley, Idaho.
Eric Hall
Eric Hall is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp Trainer, Certified Kettlebell Instructor, and an AIS Therapist. Eric is truly excited to focus his passion on enriching lives though health and fitness. Sports have played an integral part in Eric's life from a very early age. Having played competitive soccer since the age of five, Eric still has a true love for the sport and currently coaches youth programs and participates on local teams. Eric served eight years in the US Marine Corps, receiving high honors in fitness and leadership. Even though the experience required strict discipline, Eric's caring and fun personality has remained intact.
Rob Kolb
Rob started playing tennis at the age of five. Throughout his junior years Rob competed in Intermountain Division tennis tournaments, achieving great success. Rob started his career in tennis at Sun Valley Company at the age of 15, becoming their youngest full-time summer tennis instructor. He has been teaching professionally ever since. During his teaching experience Rob has co-instructed clinics and played in multiple exhibition matches with tennis professionals including Mats Wilander, Tom Gorman, Fred Stolle, and Tracy Austin. The experiences he has had with these professionals, as well as with other great tennis mentors, have greatly influenced his career and teaching style. Rob enjoys skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, alpine touring, mountain biking, hiking, golf, tennis, and rock climbing.
Heather Miller
Heather is an ISA-certified personal trainer and TRX instructor. She has a masters degree in Elementary and Special Education and a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies. Heather has combined her love of teaching with her passion for fitness. She is also the coach of the Wood River Girls Cross Country team, Girls on the Run, and Director of the Kids Camp at Zenergy. Heather was a former gymnast and is an avid athlete and competitor in local road races and competitions. She most recently won her division at the Robie Creek Half Marathon and was a finalist in the Northwest Natural Body Building Competition. Her enthusiasm for fitness and love of the outdoors makes Sun Valley one of her favorite places to be. In her spare time Heather enjoys cooking, gardening, fly fishing, hiking, kayaking, and yoga.
Brenda Powell
Brenda is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, and Certified Yoga Instructor. She also holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Sports Nutrition. Brenda has been in the fitness industry for 20 years, yet still maintains the energy and enthusiasm she had early in her career. Throughout her experience, Brenda's constant passion has been teaching group exercise, personal training, yoga, and helping her clients understand the importance of the nutritional component in their routines. Brenda still has the energy and enthusiasm she had as a young leotard- and leg warmer-wearing 20-year-old, but with much more wisdom for the safety and programming aspects of exercise.

Sports Conditioning Clinics, Trx Suspension Training
Posture alignment therapy, bootcamp, high intensity interval training (HIIT) , swim clinics, and a variety of workshops are offered on a regular basis. Clinics are taught as a series with a small group of participants and are a great way to receive one-on-one attention from a trainer or instructor in a small group setting. Workshops are typically taught in a series of two to three classes, offering intense, more focused sessions.

Indoor Cyclists Please Note:
Due to the high demand for some of our Indoor Cycling classes, beginning Monday, November 17th, it will be required to pick up a number from the front desk in order to reserve a bike for class. You may pick up a number up to one hour prior to class and you must be present in class 5 minutes before start time.

Peter holds a B.A. degree from the University of Georgia and is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer with over 21 years of experience, all in the Sun Valley area. His training focus is on gaining strength while maintaining flexibility. He employs progressive resistance techniques on a variety of equipment. Peter designs safe, effective exercises personalized to each client.

Grady Burnett
An avid competitive cyclist, Grady has been teaching indoor cycling classes for over 15 years, originally at the Sun Valley Athletic Club and now here at Zenergy. He has raced bikes throughout the Northwest for over 25 years, and was Idaho state criterium champion twice in the mid '90s. With more than 80 bike, triathlon, and uphill endurance races under his belt, he remains committed to the endurance sport lifestyle and loves sharing this enthusiasm in his classes.
Margie Caldwell-Cooper

Shanny Cohen
Shanny's history of competitive sports drove her to become an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. As a Sun Valley native, she grew up alpine ski racing and working with the US Development System. This was the foundation into her current career as a Professional Freeskier. Shanny also races motocross, is a sponsored wake surfer and was competitive in both soccer and tennis. Shanny specializes in working with athletes - both competitive and recreational. With competitive sports come injuries, which has motivated Shanny to become a Orthopedic Exercise Specialist in addition to her Personal Training. Rehabbing injuries and chronic health problems is something she has a lot of experience with personally, as well as through her education. Shanny is committed to keeping all of her client's fitness programs fun and fresh while keeping them motivated by seeing results and recovery.
Erin Finnegan
Erin, a Physical Therapist, joined Sun Valley Sports Rehabilitation at Zenergy in 2010. Prior, she worked for the world-renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. There she gained expertise in evidence-based treatments for both pediatric and adult patients with extensive orthopedic and neurological impairments. Erin received a grant from National Parkinson Foundation and is committed to implementing the most innovative strategies to improve the lives of those with Parkinson's disease. She is an athlete who has earned USA Triathlon All-American honors and competed in the Ironman World Championships. Erin is compelled to help athletes of all abilities prevent and recover from injury, embrace an active lifestyle and accomplish their sport-specific goals.
Anna Geist

After a career in five-star hotels Anna decided to bring her high energy, and interpersonal skills to the fitness industry. As a group fitness instructor and personal trainer she is able to fuse a sense of hospitality with her workouts to achieve a highly motivating and memorable experience. When Anna's not bouncing off the walls at the gym, she enjoys time with her family skiing, hiking, biking and paddle boarding.
Casey Hanrahan
Casey has been a Valley resident for eleven years and works as Director of Gilman Contemporary. When she isn't hitting the slopes or the mountain bike trails, she spends her time pursuing her career as a fly girl. She brings her spark and energy to the dance floor teaching ZUMBA at Zenergy.
Dana Henry
Dana is an L.Ac. licensed acupuncturist and yoga teacher. She has a Masters in Oriental Medicine and a B.A.in Asian Studies from Colgate University. She has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and been a health care practitioner for seven. Dana believes that acupuncture and yoga work well together in keeping the body, mind, and soul in balance. She loves the mountains and her dog Rover!
Emily Knowles
Emily is a Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor, and Group Fitness Instructor. Her certifications include A.C.E Personal Trainer, A.C.E. Fitness Instructor, Authentic Pilates Instructor, and Intuitive Eating Coach. She has been working in the industry since 1998. Training, challenging, and seeing changes in the body are a passion of hers. She has run a marathon and competed in the NGA Northwest Natural Pro-Atlas Bodybuilding and Figure Championships in Boise, taking second place in 2004 and winning the overall title in 2012. Emily enjoys working with people who are overweight and having a tough time getting motivated. That is her specialty, and she loves to share the "secrets" she's learned over the years to attaining a fit and healthy body.
Alex Laws
Alex Laws has found a balance between athletics and opening up your intuition. To date, running over 40 marathons and 15 Ironman tri-athalons Alex has made endurance athletics a way of life. Cycling races across the state of Oregon and from Oregon to Idaho he has developed training discoveries unique to him. "Riding 560 miles in 43 hours changed my understanding of what we as athletes can accompliosh." Alex shares this with each spin class he teaches a level of inspiration and enthusiasm for the beginner to the accomplished athlete. A three time finisher of the Hawaii Ultra-man (6.2 mile ocean swim, 264 mile bike ride, and a 52.4 mile run) , Alex brings his authenticity and passion to each class or private session he conducts.
Eryn Michaud
Eryn draws on a history of influential teachers in addition to the inspiration of her daily meditation and yoga practices to create organic classes, which challenge students to uncover the latent energy that can heal. In her teaching Eryn fuses the elements of Vinyasa, alignment, mindfulness, self-inquiry, and hands-on adjustments, creating a safe space for students to be who they are and as they are in each moment. Her students describe her teaching as dynamic, innovative, and honest. Along with teaching, Eryn maintains a private psychotherapy practice and is a Ph.D. candidate in Clinical Psychology.

Neil Morrow
Neil has been teaching Spinning for over 14 years and is certified by Maddog and Startek spinning systems. He has taught classes in aerobics and mat Pilates. Neil trained in Bando, a Burmese martial art and participated in National Kickboxing competitions. Neil enjoys bringing a variety of music styles and a positive high-energy approach to his spin classes. Making spin class fun and challenging for all participants from beginners to long-term cyclists is his goal. Neil holds a J.D. degree from the Duquesne University School of Law and has been admitted to the practice of law in Idaho. Neil provides Small Claims Mediation for Blaine County and is a board member for The Advocates for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence.
Suzanne Mulenos
Suzanne is a registered nurse, ACE Gold Certified Group Fitness Instructor, ACE Personal Trainer, Schwinn Certified Instructor, and an I.D.E.A. member. Suzanne has taught group fitness since 1979. Suzanne was a member of the winning Danskin Triathlon team "Carpe Mammae.*" Her therapeutic teaching approach is an artistic blend of her nursing degree, her career in the fitness industry, her experience as an oncology patient, and years as a competitive athlete. Suzanne enjoys skate skiing, alpine skiing, hiking, swimming, and offering volunteer time to Expedition Inspiration as well as the SVSS Music Conservatory. *This team was composed of breast cancer survivors. The literal translation of the team name is "Seize the Breast."
Diane Olson
A former marketing professor and university historian, Diane Olson relocated to Sun Valley, Idaho, to finish writing a book. She moonlighted as an AFAA Certified Group Fitness Instructor for 30 years, trained collegiate basketball and volleyball teams, and participated in two of the first western aerobic competitions. In 1998, Diane became a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise. She later received a certification through the American Institute of Fitness Educators specializing in older adult training. Diane's continuing education emphasizes working with individuals with chronic disease and disabilities. She is a member of the International Council on Active Aging.
Diane Pobocik
Born in Michigan, Diane first came to the area in 1998, living and working at Galena Lodge. She fell in love with Nordic Skiing and the mountain lifestyle and never left. Diane graduated from the Idaho School of massage in 2003. Her initial training included Swedish massage, reflexology, sports massage and clinical deep tissue. Diane loves continuing education and is always adding to her repertoir of massage techniques which now include neuromuscular therapy, orthopedic massage, active isolated stretching and strengthening, and Thai massage. Most recently Diane has become an Ace Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is also a certified TRX trainer and loves the TRX as a personal training tool.
Ryan Redman
Due to a keen interest in yoga, Ryan began exploring the sub-continent of India at a very young age. During his travels, Sri Sathya Baba inspired and awakened him to a lifelong commitment to spirituality. At the age of 21, Ryan began sharing his yoga practice as a certified instructor in Santa Barbara, California. With close to three years of intensive study in India, Ryan has grounded the roots of his teachings deep in Indian Philosophy, while also integrating western principles of Anatomy and Physiology. Ryan continues to lead retreats and teach workshops internationally in both yoga and Ayurveda.
Jessica Soine
Jessica arrived in Ketchum, Idaho in 1999 with a zest for the outdoors and a passion for health and healing. Her first yoga training was with Bikram Choudary at the Bikram Yoga College of India in Los Angeles, California, where she discovered that heat plays a key role in opening the body. She instructed, operated and owned the Bikram Yoga Sun Valley Studio in Ketchum for three years. Currently, she teaches a combination of flow in the heat with a vibrant, aloha spirit. Jessica has a B.S. in Exercise Science, has had experience as a personal trainer, and is also a massage therapist. She believes the human body encompasses an amazing journey; if we keep our hearts open, the human spirit will endure an extraordinary experience. This is why everybody may enjoy the path of yoga, on the mat, into real life.
Lynn Barclay
Lynn recently relocated to Sun Valley. She is Certified In Yoga Therapy RX and Prime of Life Yoga (for those over age 60) from Loyola Marymount University. A former professional dancer, she suffered a back injury and back surgery, and then embraced yoga as a healing art for herself. Lynn's training enables her to safely work with individuals regardless of age, gender or physical ability. She believes strongly in the ability to empower ourselves through strength, balance and movement. Lynn has studied with many masters of yoga including Ganga White, Larry Payne and Jonny Kest. She is registered with Yoga Alliance, International Association of Yoga Therapists, and BA Dance Point Park College. In her free time she loves to hike with her husband and dogs.
Kim Bourgette

Kim earned her master's degree in Psychology in 1995, and in 2000 combined her love of fitness with psychology to become a Personal Trainer. Over the years she has taught a variety of classes including: Step Aerobics, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Body Sculpting, Body Pump, Pilates, and Senior Programs. Kim believes fitness is a lifelong journey and something to be embraced, not endured. Her true passion remains encouraging people to find physical strength and endurance they didn't believe they had.
Cathie Caccia
Cathie began her formal study of Hatha Yoga in 1984. Trained originally in the Iyengar Method, she has found both guidance and inspiration from many of today's leading teachers including but not limited to; Rodney Yee, John Friend, Judith Lasater, Patricia Walden, Dharma Mittra and Rod Stryker. Cathie's classes combine plenty of asana, breath awareness, chanting and deep relaxation to help her students awaken to their most essential nature. Cathie is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher at the E-RYT 500 level and a Shiatsu and Massage therapist with over 1200 hours of training. She has been teaching Yoga since 1987. Cathie is delighted to be at Zenergy and can be found teaching Yin Yoga, All levels Hatha Yoga and offering Shiatsu massage in the spa.
Danielle Carruth
Danielle was first certified as a traditional ashtanga yoga instructor at Mount Madonna Center in Santa Cruz, California in 2003. She has also been trained in Iyengar and Anusara traditions in her intervening 10 years of teaching. Her teaching style is a mix of the 3 traditions with emphasis on alignment and flow. Danielle is formerly a US development team skier and college racer for Middlebury and University of Colorado. She is still an avid skier and teaches for the Sun Valley Snow Sports School during the winter months. Her approach to yoga is very much from an athlete's perspective.
Diane Crist
Diane Crist, M.A., is a certified yoga instructor and a Jungian psychotherapist who has been practicing in the Wood River Valley since 1989. She believes in the power of the psyche to influence illness and health. Diane honors the body's ability to change one's mindset. She is especially interested in the application of specific asanas (poses) to aid in the recovery of certain psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, or addictions. She weaves psychological and spiritual threads into her yoga classes while staying light and playful.
Ed Flory
A Sun Valley resident since 1985, Ed Flory has been involved in swimming as a competitor and coach for more than four decades. Ed was a nationally renowned swimmer at Kutztown University, a NCAA Division II National Champion and 15-time Coaches All-American. He trained with USA Swimming for the World Games in Berlin and the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow (which the United States ended up boycotting) . In 2002, Ed earned a master's degree in natural health from Clayton College. He launched the Masters Swim Program at Zenergy in 2001 and ran it for three years before moving on to other endeavors. Currently, he is our age group kids' swim coach, is also available for private lessons, and is proud to once again take over the ever-growing Zenergy Masters program.
Eric Hall
Eric Hall is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, NESTA Certified Adventure Boot Camp Trainer, Certified Kettlebell Instructor, and an AIS Therapist. Eric is truly excited to focus his passion on enriching lives though health and fitness. Sports have played an integral part in Eric's life from a very early age. Having played competitive soccer since the age of five, Eric still has a true love for the sport and currently coaches youth programs and participates on local teams. Eric served eight years in the US Marine Corps, receiving high honors in fitness and leadership. Even though the experience required strict discipline, Eric's caring and fun personality has remained intact.

His further certifications with Les Mills CX Worx and TRX suspension training guarantee to keep you on your toes. Tim draws from experience competing in triathlon, ultra marathon, soccer, skiing, pole vaulting and more to develop well-balanced circuit training programs for the beginning gym-goers all the way to professional athletes. If you are feeling adventurous, try mixing one of his caveman workouts in with some of your favorite trail runs or meet in the park to experience a "playground challenge." These programs are revitalizing, addictive, and produce results.
Jessica Kisiel
Sports alignment coach, Jessica Kisiel, MS helps athletes of all levels and ages eliminate pain and recover from injury. Uniquely blending posture alignment therapy, sports coaching, movement technique, wellness coaching and strength and conditioning, she gives you all the tools needed to prevent and overcome physical limitations. A long-time health and fitness professional Jessica was diagnosed with severe hip Osteoarthritis following three knee surgeries. Using an integrated approach she recovered and is back to sports. She'll help you return to activity with increased body confidence, a stronger mental attitude and a holistic training strategy that supports continued wellness. Jessica lives in Los Alamos, NM with her husband Ken. She currently travels to the Wood River Valley four to five times a year to conduct Egoscue® clinics and assist her Idaho clients.
Rob Kolb
Rob started playing tennis at the age of five. Throughout his junior years Rob competed in Intermountain Division tennis tournaments, achieving great success. Rob started his career in tennis at Sun Valley Company at the age of 15, becoming their youngest full-time summer tennis instructor. He has been teaching professionally ever since. During his teaching experience Rob has co-instructed clinics and played in multiple exhibition matches with tennis professionals including Mats Wilander, Tom Gorman, Fred Stolle, and Tracy Austin. The experiences he has had with these professionals, as well as with other great tennis mentors, have greatly influenced his career and teaching style. Rob enjoys skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, alpine touring, mountain biking, hiking, golf, tennis, and rock climbing.
George Maurtua
George started his tennis career at the age of four on the red clay courts of South America. He climbed up the junior ranks to South American and Peruvian junior champion and has been ranked 16 in singles and 7 in doubles nationally in the USA in his age group. George has gone through rigorous training and testing by the United Professional Tennis Association and has earned the high honors of a USPTA - Professional #1 Certification. This is one of the highest achievements earned by a teaching professional.
Cal Millar
Cal brings 19 years of practicing Qi Gong to Zenergy. Qi Gong can be defined as "dedicated energy work." It is a soft martial art form that focuses upon cultivating energy in order to create calmness of spirit with the added benefits of improved balance, coordination and strength. Cal offers simple instruction encouraging each person in his or her own journey of energy cultivation. Cal is also a board-certified acupuncturist with 17 years experience practicing in the Wood River Valley.
Georgie Robertson
Georgie is a fitness enthusiast. She engages clients in programs that challenge muscles with creative programs. Working with a variety of equipment is her specialty so the client is constantly learning new exercises. Her mantra ..."If exercise isn't fun then people lose interest. Exercise should always be safe and fun!" Georgie is an accomplished triathlete and runner. She has been competing since 1991 where her career started in Japan. She has most recently won the girls on the run 5k, 2012 and is currently state champion for the Olympic distance triathlon in her age group. Georgie holds certifications with the Yoga Alliance, A.C.E. Personal Trainer, extended training with A.C.E. in body mechanics and pregnancy and exercise. She studied nutrition at NYU and is knowledgeable in sports nutrition.

Jill has been a physical therapist for 20 years, 15 of which have been in the Wood River Valley. She has always worked with orthopedic and sports injuries, which parallel Jill's personal interests. Jill enjoys the reward of helping people return to their activities, whether it is competitive sports or simply being able to enjoy an active lifestyle. Jill's education and certifications include: B.S. in physical therapy, University of Washington, Master's in physical therapy, University of Washington, Sports Certified Specialist, APTA.

Katherine Pleasants
Katherine is a passionate and well-respected yoga teacher in our community. Her knowledge and teaching skills have brought her a great following of beginners to advanced yoga students. Katherine's approach in yoga is gentle with alignment, using breath in relationship to movement which allows for more release in the postures, in addition to proper support of props as individually needed to address injuries and health concerns. She holds certifications in Iyengar, Advanced Restorative Yoga, Essential Yoga Therapy, Essential Low Back Intensive, Yoga Meditation, Philosophy, Theory, and Injury Prevention as well as other certifications. Katherine also teaches privates, workshops, clinics, and has specialized in custom yoga retreats since 1999.
Brenda Powell
Brenda is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, an ACSM Health Fitness Instructor, and Certified Yoga Instructor. She also holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Sports Nutrition. Brenda has been in the fitness industry for 20 years, yet still maintains the energy and enthusiasm she had early in her career. Throughout her experience, Brenda's constant passion has been teaching group exercise, personal training, yoga, and helping her clients understand the importance of the nutritional component in their routines. Brenda still has the energy and enthusiasm she had as a young leotard- and leg warmer-wearing 20-year-old, but with much more wisdom for the safety and programming aspects of exercise.

Advanced clinical reflexologist Mark Cook, ART (Regd) has made the effort to train with the world's foremost experts in reflexology over the past ten years making your time spent with him will be as productive and effective as possible. Mark specializes in pain and stress relief utilizing feet, hands, ears and even your face to bring your body back into balance with itself. The "ART" designation behind his name assures clients the world over they can be assured the highest quality clinical reflexology. In addition to reflexology, Mark is a level two Healing Touch & Qi Gong energy practitioner.
Brett Hanson
Brett first came to the valley in 1987 to participate as a cyclist in the Wagon Days Stage Race. He has traveled nationally as a road cyclist and competed in two Olympic trials. While living and racing in the San Francisco Bay Area, he began his career path of health and healing. The primary emphasis of Brett's work is Orthopedic Massage, however he has studied and practiced extensively in Sports, Swedish, and Clinical Deep Tissue Massage. Restoring function, structural integration, and healing are the primary objectives of his practice. Assisting clients with chronic issues, rehabilitation from surgery or injuries, and maximizing athletic performance are a major focus of his practice. Having a background as a competitive athlete and working with both elite and recreational athletes has given him great experience and insight into the common areas and patterns of tension, pain, and discomfort. Brett feels very fortunate to have been selected to work and travel with several Olympians, as well as world and national champion athletes. During the 2005 season, he was employed as a massage therapist for the San Francisco Giants and at the SAP Pro Tennis Tournament in San Jose, California.
Kristy Johansen
A Massachusetts native, Kristy has honed her practice of massage over two decades. She is known throughout The Valley, and by frequent visitors, for her experience in numerous fields of massage therapy. Many athletes and massage devotees come to her to experience Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage in which she uses ceiling bars and gravitational assistance to work deep within the tissues. Others come for Deep-tissue Myofascial Release, Active Isolated Stretching or a relaxing Hot Stone Massage. A graduate of Sante Fe School of Massage, Kristy also counts among her expert techniques Chinese Cupping Therapy to soften tight muscles, loosen adhesions, and lift connective tissue to drain excess fluids and toxins in the body by opening lymphatic pathways. Kristy's Cupping Massage is an ideal treatment for soft tissue injuries and for body toning. When not working, Kristy spends her free time enjoying all the magnificence of The Wood River Valley--skiing, trail-running, working out, swimming, hiking, camping, drinking good wine and enjoying the love of her husband, Brad, and their two dogs.
Sharon Maley
Sharon studied Swedish and Sports Massage at the acclaimed San Francisco School of Massage. Her experience as a national-caliber competitive runner and cyclist for over 20 years brings familiarity with the stress and tension that can build up in every athlete's body. Sharon's clients include world and national champions from a variety of sports. In addition to promoting relaxation, the focus of her work is the reduction of muscle tension, injury prevention, increased range of motion, and pain relief. Sharon does not impose a "one size fits all" philosophy and is dedicated to supporting her clients in meeting their goals for each session. She is passionate about the beneficial effects that massage therapy has on both the body and mind.
Amber Morgan
Amber Morgan was born and raised here in beautiful Ketchum Idaho. After graduating from Wood River High School, she moved to California. Amber completed school in Santa Cruz before moving to Laguna Beach. She attended the International School of Bodywork and fell in love with the practice. In 1994 Amber finished the 1000 hour program and began her practice. She has worked in a variety of spas throughout California and received training in different body treatments such as Hot Stone massage, pregnancy and infant massage, body wraps, scrubs, and hydrotherapy treatments. Throughout her schooling, she focused on different techniques such as, deep tissue massage, sports, circulatory, and Swedish massage. Amber is also a licensed esthetician. Combining all the different modalities she has learned over the years, Amber's technique will help your body relieve stress, reduce muscle tension and give you an overall feeling of relaxation and balance. Being raised in this community, Amber loves all the outdoor activities this valley is blessed with. When she is not working in the spa, she is playing on the trails or skiing on the slopes! Erin is a local at heart, born and raised in the valley. She has her undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology and a master's in Oriental Medicine. Erin is a licensed Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist. She specializes in sports injuries and prevention as well as pain management. Erin is also well versed in treating other health conditions such as women's issues, insomnia, anxiety, stress, and much more. Erin uses her knowledge of Eastern Medicine, along with her knowledge of exercise science and human physiology, to focus her treatments according to your personal needs.
Cristalle Tourmey
Cristalle is a licensed Esthetician and has over three years of experience in the skin care industry. She completed a 600-hour program and graduated from Headmaster's School of Hair Design in Boise, ID. In her program she studied skin care treatments for the face and body, facial massage, full-body waxing, make-up application, lash and brow tinting, and eyelash extensions. After receiving her license in May 2009 she returned to the Wood River Valley where she was born and raised to fulfill her career as an Esthetician. In the last three years of her career she has gained extensive experience with a variety of skin care products, facials, and full-body waxing. Cristalle has a passion for natural skin care, and here at Zenergy she specializes in custom facial treatments using Eminence Organic Skin Care. She is dedicated to helping her clients maintain healthy and radiant skin in our dry, high-altitude environment.
Annelies Ware
Annelies holds her L.Ac. in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology and is also a massage practitioner. She offers treatment for all types of injuries and aliments. Her focus has been on sports injury rehabilitation, pain, stress, sleep issues, and pre- and post-care for knee and hip replacements. Her 12 years as an acupuncturist and 15 years as a massage therapist, combined with over 3,200 hours of training in Chinese Medicine, give her a deep understanding of the human body. Annelies is a mom, wife, and avid athlete. Her interests span from trail running, mountain biking, and skiing to yoga. Annelies has a deep love for the outdoors and she believes this gives her the understanding to help people get back to living the lives they want to live.

Kathy has lived in the Wood River Valley for over 35 years. After stints as a florist and a realtor, she found her true calling as a nail technician and has been providing top-notch manicures and pedicures for 23 years. Greg has over 30 years of experience and formal training that includes traveling the world as a member of AlfaParf's design team and learning some of the most cutting edge techniques from Milan, Italy. His formal training started with Vidal Sassoon's cutting foundation and his major influences are AlfaParf, Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, and Toni & Guy. Greg is also a veteran platform artist and educator and has worked some of the most prestigious hair shows in the United States and abroad.
Cathie Caccia
Cathie began her formal study of Hatha Yoga in 1984. Trained originally in the Iyengar Method, she has found both guidance and inspiration from many of today's leading teachers including but not limited to; Rodney Yee, John Friend, Judith Lasater, Patricia Walden, Dharma Mittra and Rod Stryker. Cathie's classes combine plenty of asana, breath awareness, chanting and deep relaxation to help her students awaken to their most essential nature. Cathie is a Yoga Alliance registered teacher at the E-RYT 500 level and a Shiatsu and Massage therapist with over 1200 hours of training. She has been teaching Yoga since 1987. Cathie is delighted to be at Zenergy and can be found teaching Yin Yoga, All levels Hatha Yoga and offering Shiatsu massage in the spa.
Heidi Hanselman
Before beginning her massage schooling, Heidi graduated from University of Washington with a B.S. in Zoology. As a continuation of the anatomy and physiology aspects of her degree, she enrolled at the Brenneke School of Massage. She completed 1000 hours of intensive schooling in various healing modalities such as Swedish massage, sports massage, trigger point/tender point, deep tissue, myofascial release, lymphatic massage, cross-fiber friction, and pregnancy massage. Continuing education courses have included two levels of Hawaiian massage, Lomi lomi. Heidi likes to incorporate all of the modalities she's learned along the way into her massages. Heidi's interests usually involve the outdoors, participating in activities including water, alpine, and nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, running, and climbing.
River Herrin
River offers a full spectrum of modalities to meet such varied needs as sports injury recovery, post-surgical rehabilitation, and ongoing maintenance for elite athletes as well as stress release and relaxing massage. She specializes in calming the nervous system and releasing negative energy. River is certified in Structural Integration, Peripheral Neurological Facilitation (PNF) , Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) , as well as Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point, Reflexology, and Swedish massage. She has a passion for health and well being for others and herself. River has always had a fascination with the human condition and how it plays out in the physical form. The mind/body connection has been a driving force for her in understanding what defines how someone moves and feels about him or herself. She has a curiosity about what limits the ability for movement. River is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to her clients.
Kathy Kristenson
Originally from Minnesota, this misplaced mountain girl moved west after earning a bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Steven's Point. Kathy spent time in southwest Washington where she attended Ashmead College for massage before finally settling in Sun Valley. Drawn by the active lifestyle, Kathy enjoys many types of recreation including paragliding and volleyball. Her education, combined with a lifelong enjoyment of sports and recreation, gives her an extensive knowledge of how the human body works and how to meet the needs of our local clientele. Kathy practices Swedish, therapeutic deep tissue, sports, pregnancy, and hot stone massage.
Emily Mcgowan
Diane Pobocik
Born in Michigan, Diane first came to the area in 1998, living and working at Galena Lodge. She fell in love with Nordic Skiing and the mountain lifestyle and never left. Diane graduated from the Idaho School of massage in 2003. Her initial training included Swedish massage, reflexology, sports massage and clinical deep tissue. Diane loves continuing education and is always adding to her repertoir of massage techniques which now include neuromuscular therapy, orthopedic massage, active isolated stretching and strengthening, and Thai massage. Most recently Diane has become an Ace Certified Personal Trainer and NASM Certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. She is also a certified TRX trainer and loves the TRX as a personal training tool.
Mary Robinson
Mary has been practicing massage since 2000. She has extensive experience working with a variety of clients and in several amazing surroundings in and around the Wood River Valley including outdoor luxury adventure trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon and Selway Rivers and Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch. In 2012 she recently worked as a Massage Therapist for Monfort Birthing Center in Colorado. She received her training primarily at The School of Shiatsu and Massage in Northern California in 2000 and has received various continuing education programs over the years including Thai, & pre-natal therapies as well as attending The Academy of Natural Therapy in Colorado in 2012. Mary's unique style includes hydrotherapy, watsu, sports, deep tissue, shiatsu, pre- and post- natal, muscle melting hot stone integration, trigger point therapy, therapeutic stretches and energy work. Mary enjoys creating individualized treatment plans for her clients. She is continually learning and growing and believes in nurturing new experiences. "Have faith in yourself and in the future".
Gwen Vandooren
Gwen graduated with a BS from University of Oregon and earned her Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic-West. She has been practicing for over 23 years, the last 16 in the Wood River Valley. Gwen is excited to work with the team at Zenergy. She enjoys spending time with her clients, utilizing muscle work and gentle spinal adjustments to help enhance their health and allow their body to function at its optimum.
Jan Williams
At the end of a commercial fishing season in Alaska, feeling tired and sore, Jan received her first massage. It was then that she knew exactly what she wanted to do. She completed the Certified Massage Therapy program at the Heartwood Institute. She has been practicing massage for 20 years. Her expertise is deep tissue massage, a focused technique used to help with chronic pain and injury rehabilitation. In 2006 Jan became a practitioner of Structural Integration, a series that strives to balance and align the body through lengthening and releasing the fascia. Jan came to the valley for the winter of 1996 and stayed for the summer.

Mollie was born and raised in Ketchum and returned to the valley in 2003 after receiving a degree from Bates College in Studio Art. She started working at Zenergy in 2008 with the intention of enjoying "one last year" as a ski bum before heading back to school and never left. She has been the Spa Director since 2009. In her free time she enjoys training for triathlons, cooking, and working in her garden.
