Programs & Services
Your tennis days, workout days, sports days, & spa days all have the same destination. At Midtown Athletic Club, you'll find all of the latest cardio & strength training equipment along w/ a variety of dynamic tennis, group exercise & athletic programs. It is a great mix of health club, sports club, & resort, but the warm neighborhood feel of the community is what will keep you coming back every day.
Group Exercise
With so many classes to choose from, you’re certain to find the class that’s right for you. Our group classes, including zumba, pilates, yoga, & cycling, are tiered by level of difficulty. Each class offers a different benefit, so whether you are trying to burn calories, shape your core, tone up, build muscle or a little bit of everything, our certified instructors will be there to push & encourage you. Originally named contrology by the inventor of the method, Joseph Pilates, pilates is a body conditioning discipline focused on the core muscles of the abdomen & back, postural control, & flexibility. whether you are a devout practitioner of pilates or a beginner interested in learning the technique, Midtown offers a variety of classes from beginner mat pilates to pilates stretch express & even yogalates, a unique blend of yoga & mat pilates which integrates studio equipment & props to improve balance, core stability, flexibility & strength. Pilates reformer classes & private lessons are also available
Strength Training
For those interested in building muscle, burning fat & improving overall health, Midtown’s strength-training classes are a great way to do so in a motivating environment. From group power, a 60-minute barbell program that strengthens all of your major muscles w/ simple athletic moves, to power sculpt, a tone & sculpt class that utilizes the ballet bar & light weights, Midtown has a class targeted to your goals

Tennis: Adult Instruction and Competitive Programs
With the country's top programs & pros, Midtown is the leader in tennis instruction for players of all ages & skill levels. The list of our innovative tennis programs is endless. Our patented Tennis in No Time® (TNT) program turns beginners into players in just three weeks. We also offer TenniSchoolsSM, a tennis lesson system designed for beginners through advanced players. And to supplement players’ court time, Midtown encourages players to participate in Cardio Tennis classes, a high-intensity tennis workout featuring fast-paced drills choreographed to heart-pumping music.
As is the case w/ all of our classes, Midtown’s teams & leagues are based on the players’ skill level, ranked according to our N.T.R.P. (National Tennis Ranking Program) system, which has become the industry standard throughout North America & assures that each person plays in competitive matches. A variety of league formats for singles & doubles are offered at different times of the day. With so many options, the balance between competition & leisure is up to you.
Tennis: Junior Development and Competitive Programs
Midtown offers a variety of programs tailored expressly for junior tennis players ages 3-18. The USTA (United States Tennis Association) has recognized Midtown as a pioneer in the field of 10 & Under Tennis, & an industry leader in adapting to the needs of younger players, helping them develop their playing skills.
Our Junior Development Pathway SM offers a systematic & progressive approach to tennis excellence. Structured around effective growth & development principles, players move at their own pace based on their ability, improvement & commitment. Every level of the program has a simple set of objectives, & our pros make your child achieving each goal their priority. And as a parent, you can trust that we will apprise you of your child’s progress as they advance through the Junior Development Pathway
Midtown’s Junior Competitive Programs are designed for the more serious player. The programs stress mental discipline, conditioning, racquet skills & situational training.
Tennis: Platform Tennis
Select Midtown clubs offer platform tennis, a doubles-oriented winter racquet sport played on specially constructed heated platforms w/ paddles in place of racquets. Played outdoors, platform tennis combines the fun & challenge of tennis, squash, & racquetball. We offer a variety of programs for players of all skill levels. Our platform tennis nowsm program, designed for new platform players, provides all the basics. And for more experienced players, Midtown offers team programs tiered by skill level

Aquatics
Whether you swim to escape from the stress of the day or to achieve your fitness goals, our regulation-sized lap pools are calling. With indoor & outdoor pools, you will always have a lane. There are myriad aquatic aerobics classes as well, from swimming technique classes to water weight classes, from resistance training to pool cardio-aerobic groups. If you are training for a triathlon or simply looking to improve your fitness through swimming, our coaches provide structured workouts in the USA master’s swimming & triathlon training program. Midtown clubs are destinations for the whole family. At Kidtown, an indoor center for kids from 3 months old, we actively engage your children to help them mature & grow w/ varying activities that foster an active, creative lifestyle. Above & beyond any general daycare, we treat your children like the members they really are by caring for them, & keeping them engaged. Aquatics: Kids Programs
Parent/Child Swim Classes
(6 months - 3 years) . Parent/child classes are a great way to introduce your young child to the water & instill safety skills from an early age. Classes focus on survival techniques, as well as allow your child to play, splash, & explore the water.
Stroke School
Must swim at least 12 meters freestyle without assistance stroke school is the perfect stepping stone between our learn-to-swim lessons & swim team. A mixture of advanced swim lessons & novice swim team practice, stroke school continues to develop proper freestyle technique as well as introduce the basic mechanics of backstroke, breaststroke, & butterfly. Each class finishes w/ a fun pool game too
Group Swim Lessons
(3 - 6 years) . Offered in three progressive levels: minnow/beginner, marlin/intermediate, make/advanced. Midtown’s group swim lessons are goal driven & technique oriented. Classes are kept at a low student to instructor ratio & feature teaching techniques that emphasize safety, proper form, & fun
Swim Team
Must swim at least 25 meters freestyle & 25 meters backstroke without assistance midtown’s swim team is the perfect sport or after school activity for kids of all ages. Coaches are enthusiastic & encouraging, while focusing on proper stroke technique, endurance, speed, & most importantly fun. Swimmers develop a strong work ethic, team spirit, & a passion for the water while improving all four competitive strokes

Make your swimming workouts easier, faster, & safer by improving your technique w/ Midtown’s adult swim clinics. Each clinic focuses on specific skills to help you get the most out of your stroke, while learning proper form to prevent injuries. Adult swim clinics are not learn-to-swim classes; participants should be able to swim without assistance prior to participating in adult swim clinics
