Taiwanese beef noodle soup is SOooOo good! Its even better if you make it spicy! It's so exciting because its the only Chinese style food in Chelsea! Also, the people who work there are really nice!
Get the Tingly cumin lamb with Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, red onions, celery and herbs. Flavors are a bit more interesting than the beef noodle soup (which is still fantastic).
All of the noodles looked delicious! The "very spicy dan dan mian" was amazing and indeed spicy – a bit numbing but not overwhelmingly so. Bubble tea was pretty good, but the noodles are the star.
Mmmm so tasty! We had the vegan option with mock duck which was meaty enough to satisfy my very carnivorous boyfriend. The noodles were stretched in front of us so couldnt have been very fresher!
Solid Taiwanese beef noodle soup with hand-pulled noodes, and well-seadoned cucuber appetizer dish. The ]lace can get busy, esp on weekends, and seating is limited (as most places in Chelsea market).
Well, the noodles were indeed Very Fresh and handmade in front of you. The cumin lamb was excellent, better with soup than without (without was a little sour). Excellent and warm service too!
I recommend vegan soup (mock duck). Usually as a vegetarian, I feel like I'm missing out on the best options at most restaurants, but definitely not here! Pro tip: ask for extra spicy!
I had the veganmock duck soup, and it was amazing. I ordered the non-spicy soup, but it was still a bit spicy. So, if you're sensitive to spice don't order the spicy version.
Had the lambnoodles. It’s yummy but the seasoning was more sweet and salty than spicy. I prefer the one at Xian over this. The noodles itself though were on point!
Taiwanese beef noodle soup was delicious. Meat was tender and the broth was spicy. Lots of cilantro though which is great for me but I understand that's soap for some.
others may like it but the noodles are too wide for me, like eating a flat long wide ruler. the soup is also really oily. we also had the cucumber, although that was good again swimming in oil.
Eater: in addition to the usual ingredients, includes tomato and orange peel. Instead of the standard radial cut, the beef shank is sliced vertically, then chunked, giving it a meatier texture.
If you're a noodle person over broth, this is definitely for you. You get a ton of noodles. The broth is a bit thick to my liking being a broth person through.
