The beer is good and lots of choice. Food is basic but hearty, the burgers are particularly large (proper cheese on top, and you can ask for extra bacon).

Fresh battered fish and chips, beef and rosemary casserole and the home made chicken and leek pie are my favorites!

Roast pork sandwich disappointing. One very thin slice of pork in it. Burger looked much better!

Location is just under bridge from rail station. Position on Google Maps further up valley is incorrect

Should be a great pub and gets so close but like the nags head it rests on the laurels of its location. Standard British pub fare delivered by really nice and friendly staff is not quite enough.
