Nature area that is perfect for a day trip up the mountain. Camping grounds available for those who would like to stay more than a single afternoon. Lots of nature trails and breathtaking views.

Only about 9 easy miles around the lake, on a nice day, I'd recommend to anyone. Don't forget the waterfall!

No dogs in the lake is a condition of the CA exemption from "no body contact" in drinking water lakes. No body contact includes no wading, swimming, or boating of any kind for people.
