New online and kiosk check in available. Go to MI.gov/MiTimeLine can check in from home and allows you to check status updates such as when to arrive by sending you a text.

Been here 5+ times
If you need to go to SOS, I recommend making an appointment ahead of time or sign in via text prior to going in. Very long wait times but the staff is helpful and friendly.
