Probably one of the most stunning interiors of any church in Scotland. New visitors centre is excellent. I disagree with earlier comments about ticket price & tourist trap. Amazing history. Recommend
Be sure to visit Rosslyn Chapel. Stay for the guided tour. Be respectful to the parishioners attending the daily prayer service. Grab a bite to eat at the cafe after enjoying the magnificent chapel.
If you're at Rosslyn Chapel , don't leave without taking a walk down into Roslin Glen & Roslin Castle( now a Landmark Trust property). Peaceful and scenic whatever the time of year
If you live nearby then sign up for the Gift Aid on your first visit. You will then get a full year's Free Admission! It is expensive for what you see, but Rosslyn has a unique atmosphere. Enjoy it.
PROS: the most stunnibg chapel you'll ever seen. The staff is VERY friendly (one of the reception ladies took a photo of me besides the chapel) and It's not so pricey, app 15 dollars.
Take the guided tour and learn all about the church, but instead of paying the entrance fee, ask to donate the money instead, sign a gift aid form (UK tax payers only) and get free entry for a year.
CONS: That useless prohibition of photographs/video recordings inside the chapel. That situation forces to foreigners like me, to take undercover photos. And certainly I wasn't the only one today.
7 for students, 9 for adults. Really overrated and quite expensive for what it has to offer. Also, while you're at it, visit the Rosslyn Castle Ruins which are 5 minutes away.
High admission cost of 7.70 pounds per person was not worth it because you couldn't take photos in the chapel. Slightly over-rated tourist trap due to The DaVinci Code.
Preciosa iglesia situada a 10km de Edimburgo. Impresionante trabajo de cantería y talla. Entrada un poco cara.Famosa por aparecer en la peli El Código DaVinci, pero la visita está más que justificada.
