Admire the well-preserved Roman forum, the Early Christian basilicas and stroll along the Via Egnatia. The grand theatre is amazing and holds numerous events.

Beautiful place, we had to spend hours to observe everything. Visit the nearby museum too! Bus accessible from Kavala.

make a stop here and drink a couple of beers on a sunny hot day...then see the ruins before you leave, if you really have to!

St Paul was imprisoned here. You can see the ruins. Modest availability of souvenirs - I like that:-)
