If your incoming flight is late you may travel on a train later than stated on your advance rail ticket. If your flight is early & you travel on an earlier train... you'll be fined. Book accordingly.

From the airport itself, this railway & bus station is cryptically signposted "The Station" without any immideately recognisable pictogram...

If travelling on Transpennine Express beyond Piccadilly and want to sit forwards on the journey, choose a reverse facing seat on the journey from the airport.

Walking to terminal 3? Don't use the skywalk. It's quicker to walk under it and around terminal 1.

Just beware of the ticket checks at the top of the escalators. Sometimes they're in operation others they're not. So don't get caught out without a ticket

Great station. Catch the express trains to Manchester though, as the locals take much longer.

Whatever you do, don't ask the station staff if the train in front of you is your train. They will say no and then realise it is your train as it is about to leave. No bitter feelings or anything.

Watch out for the drop pigeon or whatever that hideous wildlife deterrent thing is they have hanging from the ceiling in front of the cafexpresshop.

You can catch the train to MAN from MIA, but you'll have to take a plane to get to MIA from MAN.

All trains *except* the Crewe/Wilmslow train go to Piccadilly.Terminal 1 is five minute walkTerminal 2 is ten minute walkTerminal 3 is five minutes on the shuttle bus
