    There is both a 1946 photo as Kohler’s Kiva Lodge and a 1936 photo of it as Dick Frank’s Kiva Crafts Curios in the archives of the Pomona, CA library. Those can be viewed online.

    A Sept 30, 1947 newspaper article says that the Kiva Lodge had recently been sold to Jack Kohler by its previous owner, Dick Frank, who had been head of the Mesa Tourist Association.

    The Kiva Lodge Motel was originally constructed in 1924 on Main Street in Mesa, Arizona. This sign was built before 1936.
