Some locals cite the bars on the windows and the chipped-paint exterior of Jalisco as reasons they put off stopping in, but once they walk inside, everything changes.
There lunch is fantastic, love there salsa, there lunch fajitas and there pork. The best Mexican food in Fort Lauderdale. And the service is amazing. The owner is always there and he is great.
Everyone else in the mood for Mexican/Latin & you're not? This is the only Mexican restaurant I know of that sells other items like pizza, burgers, NY strip steak & even tuna melts,LOL! Problem solved
My favorite Mexican joint in town. 2006 New Times Salsa Champion. Not fancy, but the staff is friendly and the food is great. We come here at least once a week. Musicians on the weekend.
If you order sangria, the pitcher has no fruit in it & it tastes like they just mixed 1/2 red wine & 1/2 vanilla vodka. Regardless, it still tasted quite good to me, & it gets you tipsy quite quickly.
This place has been on Dirty Dining too many times. I have tried it with a friend who ended up getting sick from the food here twice. I will definitely not return here again.
I must have come on a bad day. None of the food was hot. The service was pretty bad. And the price to food ratio is average at best. Sorry, but La Bamba in Plantation runs circles around this place.
