I am from New Orleans so I am a harsh critic. I was a little skeptical about J. Gumbo's before I tried the food but it is official. The food is pretty good!!!!

Go for the Voodoo Chicken, especially if you like spicy food!

The daily special Chicken Zydeco was very good. Perfect mix of heat and sweet.

First time here, last time too. Great, friendly staff, but food....ugh. No crawfish in my bland étouffée, voodoo chicken spicy, but just to cover up the no taste. But that's just us of course.
